Did you ever read Men are from Mars. I managed to page 56 and threw it under the bed. It was on about men needing to retreat to their cave (or shed) and brood until they've come to terms with what's worrying them. I'm more drag the moping git out and make him talk about it now, all this waiting for his internal timer to ping and him to appear like a well done turkey isn't for me.

We've 4 things on the list now, OH's are therefore scientifically proven to be 96% less useful than a dead cat.

What next? Without teaching my granny to suck eggs...

You go into survival mode. You cut out absolutely everything in your budget that could be classed as a luxury, prioritise feeding yourselves and your household bills and work out what is the minimum you can live on without paying debts.

Reduce your mortgage/s to interest only, pay token £1 payments to your creditors, your shopping trolley contains less meat and more lentils and value/basics items than ever before, cancel Sky, and hope to God nobody grows or needs new shoes anytime soon.....

When things went wrong for us at Xmas we found we could live on half our income, my income, if not for childcare and the debts. Enlightening really, and from worse case scenario everywhere is up.
