With regard to the Dentist.. This is no good for your immediate needs but if you look up via the NHS site the address of your Primary Care Trust, write to them giving them your name dob. address and those of your family, then you should be assigned a NHS dentist for the future in your town.

Dentist - think i have a list of numbers to call as some has given me a dentist who is looking for people on nhs... hmmm hope he is a real dentist and not a vet or something :-S

avon stuff arrived
told mums at school this pm - they alll looked at me in horror... !!!!!!! felt bit ashamed tbh. but onwards and upwards. raided the building society [obviously not as a robber - as proper customer!] deposited cash into bank - still not enough.

Well they would look at you in horror, it's their worst nightmare. Many of them may be closer to the wire than you imagine, you coming along and making it 'real' so to speak probably put the $-Hit's up them something wicked!
Why should you feel ashamed? Your are doing you very level best to sort out a really tough run. Good God! you should feel incredibly proud of yourself for having the backbone to deal with it and not cower under the duvet like you probably feel like doing.
If you had a freind going through all this would you feel ashamed of her or proud to know she doesn't cave in when the going gets tough.
I'll say it again ...be good to yourself, that doesn't mean chokkies and cream cakes it means giving yourself credit for making a fist of it. (although chokkies and cakes are OK too!:rotfl:)

well i have given out 4 of my valued avon catalogues, although i am actually picking through my neighbourhood carefully as not to offend. its fine if they dont want one as i would rather know up front! have 2 mums at school who want one - good! will take on in for the staff room tomorrow. neighbours were a little shocked though! but whatever!

Is there a neighbourhood near you that you could take some to, maybe somewhere you are more likely to get some orders.

I don't know anything about Avon but I presume you have an assigned 'territory', maybe you could try at the local scouts, swimming club etc that the kids attend?
Figs to the neighbours, they would wail to kingdom come if they had to face the same challenge, they always think it could never happen to them, but fate cares not for class or race or religion. Keep on keeping on.
