How many night sleeps do you have to count until hubby comes home again? I really hope he enjoys his new job.

My sisters colleague lives away during the week, she leaves home on a Monday morning and gets home again on a Friday evening. Her husband visits her on a Wednesday evening as their youngest is in his late teens. My sisters colleague says that it has brought her and her husband an awful lot closer. You never know maybe you and your husband might get closer, if that is possible.

welcome will1 - it seems a long time ago that i started my diary but inface it was only march this year when i finally realised it was all about to go really wrong. i realise we are much much luckier than a lot of people and i read their stories on here and wonder how they do it! lots of ideas and positive thoughts can be found here. its up to you if you decide to use them or adapt them for your pupose.
i must also say that i have found some good, honest, reliable people who have kindly contributed to my diary, motivating me, consoling me when it goes wrong, and celebrating with me when it goes well. in some ways its better than the friends and family in regards to that they dont judge or look down on you.

i wish you the very best with your quest and you only have to make one decision right now.. and that is... 'today, I am going to make a start on dealing with my debt - it might take a long time, i might stumble on the way, but i am facing up to reality and being brave!' xxx

@j04 - 4 more sleeps till home, we have lived like this before several years ago - its fine and does not bother me in the least... but right now we need him to go do this for us!

have a great monday and a wonderful week peeps! im gonna be working and ebaying like a possessed bunny!

    Hi Mrs CMR
Thanks for the reply and encouraging words.I HAVE started!! Huge spreadsheet-can see what's what- although its fairly bleak. Unless something changes for the better, a long long long haul ahead....... but we're not going under yet........................Just hate this feeling of being on a precipe where, if anything big crops up, it could/ will all come tumblng down ( as I know you understand only too well).

In spite of what some would consider BIG salaries,we like you have the outgoings to match and have stupidly fallen prey to years and years of the easy credit that goes with the big incomes.

I'm already an ebay fiend-so will see if I can find you.............................

    Hi
Scary how quickly just the essentials add up isn't it!

Hows the hubby's new job going? Is he based miles and miles away? Must be tough with the kids on your own-its nice to 'hand them over' even for a short while in the evenings!! What ages are they?

I have a 16 yr old girl (moody miss!) and 10 yr old boy (whirling dervish!). Though they are pretty self-sufficient, school hols can be just a little tiring with them round all the time , out of normal routines. Can't wait to get back to work myself on Thursday for a bit of quiet and sanity!

DS back to school the following Thursday-DD starts college on 8th Sept. At least that means one less set of school fees for the eldest for a couple of years but dread the whole uni ££££ thing that will follow....

How many items have you managed to list today then?

    xxx

    Hi mrs CMR

Your post brings back memories. There was a time when my DH and I lived apart in the week. I would go to work on a mon and think, "the day after tom, I can say the day after tom I will see my dh!" How I loved seeing him again on the fri eve and the time we had was v v special. Yes, those weekends I can truely say form some of my happiest memories of our times together. Take care
