How it works
Tesco are offering you the chance to collect extra Clubcard points by registering for offers on your mobile phone. Just click on the offer that you are interested in and then input your Clubcard number. Remember to read the terms for each offer.
You will receive a free SMS detailing the offer for which you have registered. Simply buy the product online or in store before the 30/04/2009 and the points will be automatically added to your account.

peterbaker wrote: »I have only had a quick read of this thread but there is a suggestion that to qualify, O2 users must use the wap.o2.co.uk Access Point. I get 'free' web surfing via mobile.o2.co.uk but AFAIK if I use wap.o2.co.uk I get charged. I also know that Blackberry handsets are generally set up to use the blackberry.net Access Point and if a Blackberry user on O2 tries to be clever and surfs on another O2 Access Point, they are likely to get charged. That would explain the warning that Blackberry users may have problems.
So being an old cynic, my questions are these:
1. Does any O2 customer get free web-surfing via the WAP Access Point? I have my doubts, and if you are paying an uncertain amount for mobile web use then how do you know if you are ahead on this 'deal'?
2. If you use another Access Point e.g. mobile.o2.co.uk, will you actually be satisfying the terms of the offer?
Before too many get carried away with it, I think someone at MSE Towers might check a few things...
Im not totally certain on this, but I think if you can register you get the offer. If you go to the webpages from another network's phone, or via iPhones, it says 'Sorry only open to O2 or Tesco mobile customers'. They obviously do some check on how you're connected, but if it goes through you should be fine. I would recommend buying only things you would use anyway (ie no marmite - yuk!)0 -

Just to clarify:-
You can register all 5 at once? You don't have to register, buy, regsiter, buy etc.
I can register 5 times, then go in and buy all 70 products in one go?
Someone who has posted seems to think you can only buy one offer item per visit. Surely thats incorrect.0 -
*Note to Self*
Next time either register at home (not when at work) or remember to turn phone onto silent!!
Have just received 84 texts from Tesco!!!
(and my text alert is a flock of sheep baa-ing!!)
ps - Thanks to the OP for the post.xxx Nikki xxx0 -

I register a certain amount at home on my o2 phone, then buy that amount instore after.
With this one this week, i registered 5 times for persil S&M then bought 5 in one go a few hours later at tesco. Same for my OH.
In the week before i registered for lets say, 60* Dove all on one day so i had all 60 confirmation texts through on my phone. I then bought 60 'already 200 points allocated' Dove shampoos over that week, and not needing to register again as I already had done previously all in one go.
Hope that makes sense
*60 is an example only..*

Before people get too carried away with this promotion. As the points get added at end of quarter how do we actual know we are getting the points. I would urge caution especially to those who are really stocking up, Tescos could turn around and say you are acting as a business with the volume you are buying and not award any points!!!.
I also remember Martins last helpful advice with tescos savings, he reported that the offer had been extended before christmas where as tescos say it hadnt so i didnt get my points!!!
All i am saying is becareful Martins been wrong in the past and dont spend more than what you can afford to lose."Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0
