I did not start MSing until October, and my first RE shop was in January, so I don't know what their old site was like.

It's annoying that it seems to have lots of problems with connectivity at the moment, and it does suggest that their server isn't coping well, but there are some aspects of the web-site design I like. I do like that I can see which reports I have submitted and I particularly like that I can see how much money they owe me ;)

Which is exactly what you could do on the 'old' site.

I really wish their server could cope with the amount of traffic their website gets (I suspect this is the problem more than anything else).

Well yes If the new siter didn't use so many icons and graphics it would be fine

I'd also really like them to pay more, but I'm afraid that's not a web-site issue!

If they paid a good fee:rotfl: then I'd be more patient!

What annoys me is that people here complain about RE but never email them with their complaints. As far as RE are concerned all is hunky dory!

Is anyone registered with ESA? Just received an email from them asking me to join. Don't remember applying to them, what are they like to work for?
    TIA

I registered with them a while ago but haven't done any work for them yet - got the email through a couple of weeks ago asking to update my details as they have a new website so sent it off straight away.
I'll add it to my list & hopefully get some work from them eventually.................:D

I'm losing count of all the companies I've registered with - it's just over twelve months now since I started MS again, & at first I had them all written down in my book as & when I registered & heard back from them, but I've been so busy over the last few months that I've not been keeping track of all the new ones I'm with.

Tomorrow I have a lovely overnight stay in Edinburgh (thanks to BM:T) so intend to take all my paperwork with me & update everything!

I may even put it all on my new Notebook - though I still like to see everything written down - giving my age away! From next week I'll have to tick the 55-64 box in the numerous surveys that I do these days - don't know if I can bring myself to do that though - I might just have to stick to the 45-54 one!

HP - when you are up & about the two of us are going to do a Casino - that should be fun!!
    ;)

    RE website

If any of you think it is PANTS then please email jenny.wheeley@retaileyes.co.uk

Her response to me about the site going down again and being slow

I pointed out that the web-site is actually ON the SERVER!

    She responded that:

I must be in the 20% as it is so slow and goes down more often than Paris Hilton

Gordon Brown could offer this woman a job as the new Labour party spin doctor:rotfl:

It looks like the first job I'm getting is in a fast food place that I go to alot. I'm being asked to get a receipt.... but I've *never* been given a receipt before in this place. Won't it blow my cover if I ask for one?

It absolutely will!!! Normally it takes the muppets behind the counter a good 5 minutes to work out how to get a receipt to print.
Sometimes you will be treated like royalty as words spread your are the gapbuster MS, as soon as you as for a receipt.

Yes, quite probably. Expect the staff to suddenly jump to attention and start cleaning the floor round you.

I have started to ask for receipts in other places now when i'm not MS'ing, it's amazing how service levels improve. Just goes to show how bad the UK is in general in offering good service.

:rotfl:actually, when I first read about mystery shopping a few months ago, I thought it would be too much stress... but when I went shopping I tried out stuff like looking at their name badges - you should have seen the look of terror that crossed one girls face as she *caught* me:D
