The £2 is not tax, it's NI - yes, they do take it every week, regardless of income.

RE website
If any of you think it is PANTS then please email jenny.wheeley@retaileyes.co.uk
Her response to me about the site going down again and being slowWe are advised that it is not a problem with the website but the server going slow that is causing the problem
I pointed out that the web-site is actually ON the SERVER!
She responded that:However, I can tell you from the emails that I receive, there are more favourable comments than unfavourable ones from shoppers since the changeover. Something like 80 percent of our existing shoppers really like it.
I must be in the 20% as it is so slow and goes down more often than Paris Hilton :rolleyes:0 -

It's quite clear she's on about the long term view of the website  whereas we're on about the last month or so when it has gone up and down more oftan than... well blindman said it all0 -
I did not start MSing until October, and my first RE shop was in January, so I don't know what their old site was like.
It's annoying that it seems to have lots of problems with connectivity at the moment, and it does suggest that their server isn't coping well, but there are some aspects of the web-site design I like. I do like that I can see which reports I have submitted and I particularly like that I can see how much money they owe me
I really wish their server could cope with the amount of traffic their website gets (I suspect this is the problem more than anything else).
I'd also really like them to pay more, but I'm afraid that's not a web-site issue!0 -
My gosh Mike they must have thought loads of your work to beg to get you back. You must have been a bit flattered. I could be wrong but under Data Protection Laws are not.being naughty keeping your details.
Well the interesting thing was that I clicked a link on my googlemail account one day for an advert for mystery shoppers. The link took me to a home worker page with an advert from Gapbuster - all of my regular Gap work postcodes were highlighted as urgenttly needing filled. Yeah it was a bit flattering when they called but must admit that I have been earning a lot more by concentrating on other companies since I stopped gap work and my car miles have plummeted no end which is also a good positive.
I suspect they might phone back again though ....0 -

For anyone interested the Information Commissioner's Office website (I'm not allowed to post link, but it is at "ico.gov.uk") has information on Data Protection. The legal obligations placed on "data processors" include:
Am I sure the personal information is accurate and up to date?
Do I delete or destroy personal information as soon as I have no more need for it?
On that basis they probably should not contact people who have resigned. Also don't forget you have the legal right to find out what data MS companies hold on you. Never tried it but might cause more than a few ripples!!!0 -
Is anyone registered with ESA? Just received an email from them asking me to join. Don't remember applying to them, what are they like to work for?
