Sybil, how odd to hear you mention Yeadon like that. I lived in Horsforth for many years and used to drink in Yeadon sometimes.

It's sunny today but I am still feeling a bit down with all thats going on. TBH I am getting very sad about not seeing OH since last May. I think all things considered I have done well to last this long before it started to get to me.I think it would help us both to meet up again as they have been v stressed with work and I have been very down about not having work etc.

I have just been enjoying "Crooks In Cloisters" on tv and I think it is now time to jobsearch and wash the dishes , put the WM on and start to prepare the leftover roast spuds which I am frying with some spring onions, anchovies and garlic for my dinner with 2 LO strips of bacon.

Jobsearch kinda gets me more and more down tho TBH. There are just no jobs online or in the papers and instead of getting right stuck in every day and applying for asd many as I can't find , it is getting hard to motivate myself to look for jobs that arent there. :(

Had a lovely dream last night with Rick Stein in. He had a place like a hotel with a VERY big long driveway and some metal containers like you get in shipyards. I suggested he paint them brown to make them look like wooden huts and sell excess produce from them. It was really nice putting the produce out in attractive ways and he had done samples of food to sell and give out. I suggested he called it "Chalky's Bites" :D

Hope everyone else is well. xxxx

afternoon, am feeling a distinct lack of energy today - this cold isn't too bad compared to usual but it seems to have sapped my energy and left me aching. I have spent half the afternoon sitting in the sun reading my book but then felt guilty so managed to defrost the freezers. Having an easy tea from the freezer - fishfingers and chips - cant be bothered to cook properly.
Now I need to sort the washing/ironing as I'm back to work tomorrow.

Will pop back again later x

Just had a visit from a friend with a small holding and she has brought me lots of duck eggs and the biggest goose eggs I have ever seen, how lovely of her - any good ideas anyone?!?!?!

Well thats the boleros finished and packed up ready to post tomorrow. Chiffon is not the easiest of things to sew. Now I can pack my machine away, so as long as OH is ok thats tomorrows task..........

Had an e mail from the agents, the landlady has signed her part for the agreement is and quite happy with what we would like to do.......no probs...so we have signed our agreement and got it witnessed.....I am going into town on Thursday so will drop it back then.

We have had a resident pass away last night, a really nice lady who came in after us. She only had part of one lung, and was on oxygen, but she would not stop smoking.....apparently she had a stroke.......so there are now 2 one bed apartment and a studio to let in the building. Funny it was the same when we came in, nothing for 2 years and then our apartment came up and just a couple of weeks later 2 more became vacant, about the same time of year, strange that.

We went for a walk, past the house, the weeds I sprayed lasyt week are as strong as ever, so guess I will be bringing the pathclear from the allotment and giving it a good going over. No sign of any work being started though.

OH went to bed with a dizzy just after we got in.....was in bed for a couple of hours.

I have re-potted up 60 plantlets this morning and watered them.....cleaned the flat, well shook the duster at it and hoovered the carpet..........and sorted out some turkey breast for supper, going to do it with pasta and cream sauce, think the yogurt is probably past it!!!........

Lovely afternoon, would love to have been sitting in that courtyard!!! still only 2 weeks to go..................
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Isn't it strange - I don't actually live near Yeadon, it was a drive, but many many years ago I used to work on Low Lane in Horsforth.

I admit I am not a Yorkshire Lass by birth, however, I just married into the Yorkshire side of the Pennines.

:( Little bear is running a temperature, and to be honest, I'm feeling a bit fluey as well. I have been paranoid that we may have picked something up in A&E and I thought we had got away with it. Also my darling brother was supposed to be visiting and we hardly ever see him.

But I have baked potatoes in the Remoska, chicken escalopes that were on offer and some basics peas for tea, which is reasonably old style, and I think I may suffer over some ironing this evening.

Off to try and stuff more fluids into little bear. Half heartedly considering doctors tomorrow, but I shall see how he does.

Csarina - that does sound odd about the change around of tenants.

    Hugs to all.

    Hello folksw
I've been away for a long weekend which has been fab. Went to Cheltenham Races on Fri, saw the Queen, Princess Anne, Lester P and Jilly Cooper. Picked the winner of the Gold Cup :j. Loved seeing the Queen with race card in hand. That really made me smile.
Off to read through to see what you have all been up to. (((hugs))) to those having a hard time.

Well I went back to the Dr's and that was a wast of time she gave me more painkillers patted me on the head and sent me away  not even concerned about the levels of pain that I am in :(.

went into chemists and worried them when I went a bit white but am now at home and not sure what to do 3 Drs and 2 lots of Antibiotics that I have been given conflicting advice on, 1 dr said take them 1 dr said dont take them and the dr is saw today said oh the antibiotics must be working as your temp is normal. unfortunatly after 2 years of constant BBT I know when I am running a temp as my body runs normally at 35.9 to 36. 4.

Suggestions on a postcard on what to do if I feel worse later

Had homemade scones and cream for pudding found the scones in a tin outside my door from my elderly neighbour think it is my return for checking on her over the winter months

ed to add.... just read your message again and see the bit about what to do if you feel worse - my suggestion would be the NHS helpline.

(((hugs))) Katie - I'm not sure what has been going on for you but I know that you sound a bit fed up to say the least with your drs. Sorry to hear that you are in pain. Are you able to make an appointment with someone to discuss how you feel?

Katie that's sweet of your neighbour. Hope you're feeling better by the morning - not very helpful when all the different doctors can't agree what you should do!
wmf & Stef glad you enjoyed your weekends....perfect Gentleman eh Stef? Oh well, better luck next time eh?! ;):D
Welcome to the thread newbies and welcome back to the MIA returners too.
Betheebee I will keep my fingers crossed for your DB's, and a huge WELL DONE your your DD1!

Very OS dinner today as it was mostly leftovers from our meal we cooked for our friends yesterday - tagine and couscous (which reheats beautifully in the microwave!) with some steamed savoy cabbage which needed using. Chocolate muffins and LO cream for pudding. :T

I've got the day off work tomorrow - our speedway season starts again this week so I shall be whizzing up to Ipswich tomorrow for our press day and first team practise. Fingers crossed for the weather to stay nice - sunny weather is much better for the photos. I'll get to the stadium for about 11.30am and with any luck will get away again for around 4pm although it depends on how late the lads want to practise...they might finish a little earlier. Tea tomorrow night is going to be something quick as I will have loads of photos to get processed and sent through for our website man to get online for the fans before they start moaning! Tonight I have to charge all my batteries just in case the light drops off and I need to use my flash, plus check all my kit and pack my bag up....two cameras, four lenses, flashgun, power pack, spare camera batteries.....weighs a ton! It'll be great to see everyone again though! :j

Hopefully before going out tomorrow morning I'll get some Flylady stuff done.
