Another lovely sunny day here, 3 in a row, SPRING is well and truly here the buds are appearing on all the trees and bushes, Forsythia should be out soon, its usually the first colour in our garden, the bulbs are way up, just waiting for the flowers to pop open.

Mioliere - Hope the move goes smoothly hon
Halight - Good luck at the job centre, glad you're felling better.
EssexGirl - Sounds like you had fun
Csarina - Not long now!
jovichick - Welcome back to the thread hon!
Sybil - Do you have an outside shed or a spare room that is fairly cold? We keep our potatoes in the porch where it is cool and they don't sprout so quickly then and we buy by the sackful.
I haven't spoken to Tristan for a few days. I know I am blessed to grab what time I can have with him but it's so hard. He isn't himself most of the time and with typing you can't hear the inflection or see the facial expressions and he won't switch his cam or mic on and won't let me ring him. Says he looks and sounds horrible and doesn't want me to see him.
I didn't get any time in the garden despite the glorious weather. My OH was so exhausted that he slept very late and just wanted to catch up on his paperwork etc so neither of us left the house! We had our turkey fajitas and they were very nice. No idea what we are eating tonight, though I better think of something fast!
The Outside Clinic are coming to test my eyes today. They have messed me around so much I wish there was an alternative but as I cannot get to an opticians I am stuck with them.
Oh well, the washing is out on the line and the sun is shining, so the day has started well. I need to go put some makeup on and brush my hair for when the optician gets here, otherwise he will run screaming from the house in fear!
I hope you all have a good day - be kind to yourself. Warm gentle hugs to those who need them.
Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -

hmmm - posted and it got losted anyhoo
I'm back from my weekend in Stratford all shakespeared out. My host was fabulous and an OSers dream. SC, BM and steamer all very much in evidence. I've been fed HM pizza, pasta and a proper roastie - all prepared with fresh ingredients or little properly labelled boxes from the freezer - as it makes sense to cook in bulk donchaknowThere was even washing flapping in the wind! On top of all that he took me everywhere I wanted to go and was the perfect gentleman .... well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
going to throw my laundry into the machine, have a quick shuftie at what pigpen is having us flyladies do today and THINK a bit about moving the raised beds while the weathers still good.
have a good day all
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Afternoon all
Stefejb - glad you had a great weekend
Lovely spring day here in Kent, have given the summer duvet an airing on the washing line and have now swapped it for the winter one and put it on our bed. Popped to Lakeland for some leather cleaner as my other wipes had been left open and they had all dried out. No one taking the blame for that one and it wasn't me  So thats looking lovely and shiny at the mo. Hoovered through and will start to prep chicken stir fry for dinner soon.
Apart from that not alot been going on here. Hugs to all xxxx0 -
Afternoon all
Hope you are all well and enjoying the lovely weather. Just home from work to see washing dry and blowing in sunshine. When I pegged it out this morning it was still really dark and I was crossing my fingers that it would stay dry till I got in.
Been really busy at work today -so am shattered now. HM chilli and jackets for tea (from some I froze last week, so nice and easy) for me and hubbie and DD2 is having chilli and pancakes as she doesn't like jacket pots. We tend not to do pud during the week but there are plenty of Twinks hob-nobs, weetabix cake and lemon drizzle cake still from the weekend for packed lunches and snacks. My colleagues at work are amazed at the change in my cooking/baking habits since I started following this thread!!!!! :rotfl:
Haven't had time to read back properly so hugs to all who need them.
Take care all x"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D

I was told the definition of a gentlemen had something to do with weight and elbowsGlad you have a good weekend.
I am still reading, connection means posting is more difficult. We are fine enjoying the very sunny weather, and being rather lazy. Normal service will be resumed next month!

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Feeling very smug as I sorted out DD's curtains without it costing anything!
Found an old pair which were too short when hung up on window- muttered a bit and found another pair - still too short- finally found a pair that were long enough ,took the blackout lining off the original pair and safety pinned it to the "new " curtains, then cut the lining at the bottom to fit.
DD now has a nice plain set of rich blue curtains that go with her room and block out the light!!!:j It only cost me 60 pence for some safety pins.
Need to go start on pasta dish for DD (15) as she is due home at 4p.m. and will be starving.
See you all later."This site is addictive!"
