Doing my bit to spend Britain out of recession

i've been doing my bit for the economy as well, today i thrashed my car around the surrey lanes for nearly three hours for no other reason than i felt like going for a drive, and the £35 i wasted on pointless "performance" petrol mostly went to the government in tax. by next week that money will be helping out some worthy causes; perhaps it can be transferred directly into jacqui smith's mortgage account?

Performance petrol will only make a difference in performance engines....ie those tuned for the higher ron.Try a couple of tanks of engine treatment to clean out the gunk....some better HT leads and sport plugs and check the sensors....If all else fails , and its a goodun , let me drive you in it and see if there is a difference then , bet youve never done roundabouts anticlockwise while drifting.:j

But I bet though there was no better way to put a smile on yer boat for 35 quid , you cant even get a hoors hand shandy for that....not that I would know or endorse that sort of thing.

"Yes officer she said her name was Charge , I assumed her first name was foreign and I thought she said it was Muchdoou....purely innocent you see I thought she was cold and asked her If she wanted a lift home." well thats my story and I am sticking to it.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

to be honest i don't know if it makes any difference or not, because i've never put normal petrol in it. i'm just going on what all the reviews say - don't bother buying it.

but yeah, it was £35 well spent. particularly as it meant delaying the normal sunday nagging about all the stuff i haven't done again.

You`ve never had a games console since you were 14? Are you flattering yourself - they weren`t even invented then!

I was 14 in 1995 and was probably either just getting bored of Sonic The Hedgehog on my Megadrive or being very excited at just getting a Sony Playstation 1 (the last console I had before today's stupid decision).

I could just buy a few 50 quid cars and sell em for a couple of hundred to those for a 2k deposit voucher on a new one instead.

Are they still talking about this as Im in the market for a new car, dont want to blow my money yet if this is still on the cards.

your the same age as me!!

Have fun with your PS3, did you get any nice games?? We have a nintendo Wii bought with the excuse that WiiFit is really exercise so it was not a pointless purchase.

Today for me was spent house hunting, Went to see two, one on for 25k less than houses in the same street and marked as 'atention to decor required' Every room is hideous, lime green, dayglo orange, purple glittery stuff and one room has what looks like blackboard paint on two walls  Nice house but not sure if I could face the decorating and its not very MSE to employ decorators and disappear on a weeks holiday someplace. 2nd house, Nice and clean but too many compromises on location but not enough on price
