I have finished my list! :j Floors are all mopped and the living room is looking Spiffing :D well, except the sofas, but I can't move em on me own! :D Actually I can cos well, I got to lift DS2 several times a day so all that 'mustn't lift anything heavy in pregnancy' thing is a bit useless to me. Still, living room is looking spiffing. Slowly getting the house as nice as it was before Christmas.

Watching Harry Potter OOTP, I love those films!

Lil_me, I have now a dedicated kids shelf, and will get some nice folders to sit up there with all their stuff in. So far my two handmade motherday cards are there (one from DS2 a little bit chewed), varius clay objects that they have made and the 3 power rangers in varying degrees of paintedness are sitting up there looking all pretty.

Kaz, I have old doggy towels. The only problem would be getting her to realise that that's what she should be putting her head on!
Rach - hugs for you and DH - wishing him excellent exam passing vibes. He must feel under double pressure given he did so well last time...
Dusty - it's good the boys have their treasures. Of all the things that I kept of my Dad's when he passed on, the one that I polish the most is his posh walking stick. It came in very handy when I damaged my knee a few years ago. It rests in the living room, next to the settee.
Lil-me - big hugs over the peas.... hope DS1 calms down soon for you.
Piggers - some super brain action vibes winging their way to you

Lovely food at DiL's parents. Ate far too much and am now feeling stuffed. Also v. tired so I'm off to bed shortly I think. Too much fresh air outside this afternoon!

    Evening everyone :D Pompey won :D :j :T :j :D

Phil - hugs; it's the depression talking. People probably thought they were helping by not telling you so as not to worry you - unfortunately, it often has the opposite effect; the outcome depends on the whole staff team, so you are not responsible; Ofsted should have been made aware of the situation

lil_me - hope DS calms soon

juliejim - I have read your PM and will reply when my head is on this planet!

I am going to head to bed soon as I have so much to do tomorrow and don't know how I'm going to get it all done as I have planned lunch and cinema with mum. I'm getting myself wound up about it now so need sleep and will have to try and get up early and work before I go out ......

    Night all, sleep well x

    Dusty

Not sure how old your kids are but when my dad died my sister told her kids that grandad had gone to heaven. My dad played the organ and she told them that when it thunders its grandad on the organ.

At his funeral they bought some helium balloons with 'God Bless' and 'Grandad' on and the three kids came to the funeral (she has 5 the other two didn't want to go). My dad was buried and after the coffin was lowered into the ground the kids let their Balloons go up to Grandad.

I know some people may think this is a bad idea due to them not being good for environment and wildlife etc but this just took the focus off the coffin in the grave and for the kids this helped them alot.

Evening all! Popping on to say hi to all - I lost the [STRIKE]plot [/STRIKE] thread at page 57, and can't keep my eyes open to catch up! Understand that Philb needs hugs though, so (squeeze) here they are.....also, hope Toots is well.

I have been AWOL for a day or so, got very lost on a country walk...nearly drowned in some nasty run-off from a field, and got terribly muddy....supposed 2 hour walk took me 5 hours!! No flying upon my return....and spent today in the Yarnshop knitting, drinking tea and eating Jaffa Cakes. There is a heaven on earth!

Oooo - loved the Bat pegs!! Thanks Valli! There may be something in this peg madness - or is it contagious??

Well, I'll try and catch up on the thread, and flying, tomorrow - until then, sweet dreams and big hugs to one and all! x

lil_me, hope DS calmed down. DH was a bit mad when he found out I'd swapped heinz beans for value ones! Hates feeling like he's been decieved...

dusty - how lovely, it sounds like they will have nice mementoes as well as good memories. well done to you.

tia - seem to remember eating paper at some point myself...I turned out ok (well, I think so!)

triker - MiL asked for a purse last christmas, I went everywhere to no avail (she wanted a smallish one too) til DH said 'Alders have stuff like that' and they did.

rosepink - well done on getting so much done!!

ZCC - be careful - pm me if you need advice re what to take on a walk etc.

My bridesmaids wore chocolate brown. Some people sounded unsure when I told them but it was stunning!

We went to in laws in the end, only stayed a few mins but she was pleased with her plant and card. Had dinner, watched a bond film with wine and now chilling with more wine and QI :) DH trying to work out some complicated formulaic problem but he seems chilled!
