I can't believe he has managed to go on a holiday, yet he can't afford a pair of trousers, shirt and shoes. He is definitely trying it on. Tell him either wears what you can afford to get him, meaning charity shop, m and s £19 suit, asda or matalan or just don't get him anything and tell him to get it himself or don't bother coming. Hard to do but he is taking the mick! Let us know how you get on and good luck for your big day xMarried the most amazing man 05/12/09 and it was the best day ever, I'm a Mrs, he he!!:jWins 2009: Peroni Alessi bowl woohoo, 1 in 10 wins DVD from Maltesers, Avon lippy!!!Freebies-Bold Gel, CoffeePinecone Research - £9Mystery Shopping - £150

I would just ignore any further requests to supply clothing. If he says anything more just say you don't mind what he wears and leave it at that.
We have some guests who I doubt will wear what I would prefer them to but I have decided to ignore it and at the end of the day their photos won't be on a wall so who cares.0 -
i would tell him where to get off to be honest. He's got an absolute cheek!0

spoke to my fiances mum this morning and she said oh **** is gutted you are not ordering him a suit - she also said he does not own a pair of smart trousers nor shoes - she said he never has the need to wear them anywhere interesting to see what happens when he gets his formal invite.2010 - Goals

Gutted you're not ordering him a suit?!?!?! You're not ordering anyone a suit!
He's made a completely unreasonable request and for you to do anything would be to set a precedent which you wouldn't be able to maintain for other guests. I can believe he doesn't own a single pair of trousers or a single shirt?!
He's asked, you've said no. I'd ignore the whole issue from now on, if anyone says anything you can just reply by saying "Oh yes, we've spoken about that and it' all sorted" - because it is. You're not doing it! X0 -
Tell him to lower his normal expensive standards and take a look in Sainburys or Tesco's. Sounds like a real tight wad & I certainly wouldn't be footing his clothing bill. Hope you have a wonderful wedding and don't let him spoil it for you.0

You might want to recommend TKMAXX plenty of "names " there for cheap.
Either the guy is a total idiot, or he is so profoundly insecure he honeslty cant function
Suits youd hire arnt exactly "names" are they?
Strange, very strange. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
