he doesnt to be honest have any clothes apart from designer Jeans T shirts and trainers - sorry i forgot he doesnt have any shoes so he needs to wear his trainers - good job my fiance has not chosen him to be best man !!!
I just think some peoples priorities are all wrong - we are really having our wedding on a budget due to our other expenses so he must understand we cannot afford outfits for our guests.
My fiance has just been out with him for a drink and he said again he cannot afford any clothes - my fiance is fuming too - they have had more money coming into their household than we ever have.2010 - Goals

I'd be tempted to tell him not to bother coming if that's his attitude! The cheek of it!
I'd be fuming too.

The last thing you need to worry about is some tight @rse who thinks that it is your responsibility to cloth a fully grown man, planning a wedding is stressful enough.
Tell him straght and tell him soon, you will not be buying his clothes, bloody cheek0 -
Tell him you'll keep an eye out in the local charity shop for a bargain outfit for him!

What does he wear to work?
I wouldn't buy him any clothes. If he can't afford to buy then he will just have to borrow. This used to be quite common amongst men to borrow suits, ties etc. in our family when I was younger so that they didn't have to buy a suit especially for a wedding or funeral.

Some people can't see further than their own problems, and are therefore inconsiderate of other peoples'
You have told him you can't afford it, I would leave it now. He will either find something, or turn up in jeans and trainers - and he will look the daftie then.
Like you say, at least he's not the best man. Concentrate on you and your fiance and what's best for you both

He sounds really rude, he should make sacrifices for his brother's wedding.
You can get designer gear in Charity Shops, including shoes.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

he has just had a mortgage holiday payment break - for a month so guess what he done he booked a holiday abroad - he honestly thought that the break was for a holiday - we tried to say it is meant for unforseen circumstances not to go away but he would not hear of it - plus it was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and i never even got a card we always send him and his girlfriend a card and spent loads on their baby when it was born and at xmas.2010 - Goals

he is a manual worker so just wears jeans tshirt and trainers - all designer may i add.
he dont know yet that we are not inviting his two children from a previous relationship to be honest we hardly ever see them apart from xmas to give them a pressie - he sees them every week but we have to draw the line, no doubt that will be wrong too - when we send the invite for him and his current girlfriend only and not his baby or two childre.2010 - Goals

If he is part of the wedding party (usher, bestman etc) and you require him to wear something you are deciding , ie a colour combination, or traditionally a morning suit, then I would not expect him to pay.
If he is part of the wedding party and can wear whatever he wants or simply a guest that can wear whatever he wants then he should sort himself out.
But if you have told him he must dress smart in a purple shirt or whatever then you would traditionally be expected to contribute.0
