You still haven't explained why you have skewed the price cut towards a capped reduction via a greater reduction of primary units. Im starting to feel like Jeremy Paxman interviewing Michael Howard......
I live in a 3 bed house, wife and two kids. Does Eon consider this average? We are not excessive in our use of electricity. Ive worked out my winter quarter with the price reduction formula used by Eon 18% off primary, 1% of secondary, against a transparent 9% across the board cut.
18% + 1% would see my last bill drop by £12.34
9% transparent cut would of seen my bill drop by £15.57
Just how many of Eon's millions of 'average' customers will be better of under the Eon 9% price cut formula?0 -

This isn’t about whether E.ON consider it average or not. In my earlier post I said this is OFGEM’s average and it is a regulatory requirement for us to use this. All suppliers have to use it.
When price increases and decreases are announced, we are obliged as part of our regulations to release this information through the press. We also have to release the average reduction or increase based on OFGEM’s average consumptions.Helena

My last post was incorrect due to energyhelpline.com not having the correct unit prices!
I emailed eon and was told that v12 and v13 are the same unit prices for me but the discount on v13 is slightly lower. They said that the prices have been reduced for both of them, ie v13 is not a new tariff solely introduced due to the recent price decreases.
My hunch is that v13 was brought out for all the people finishing v5 - they would have gone to v12 but will now go on the slightly more expensive (due to lower discount) v13.0 -
I was on V5, now ending, and rang to be told that V13 is my cheapest option BUT this actually increases my bill as the "secret" regional discount has been lowered, the well documented 9% "drop in electric prices would "lower" my increase....Asked about gas prices and why these were not dropping but usual spin given (investment in services, maintaining customer support etc....). So EON are actually increasing prices.0

My mum is coming to the end of v5 and has been told she'll be £30 per year worse off, so much for prices getting cheaper! If she'd have gone onto v12, before v13 came out, then she would have been saving a bit.0
