Time Machine is the incremental backup software included with Mac OS X 10.5. You connect a hard drive, tell OS X to use it for Time Machine, and then it automatically backs up your files for you. It saves a copy of a file whenever you change it, as well as also saving any previous versions.

Yeah briefly went on my bro's at christmas but wasn't thinking about one then so can't really remember what I thought of it....well except for the image quality when looking at pictures which, in fairness, was nothing short of exceptional.

It's just how much I am likely to spend if I go for it :o:o

Know any students? They can get quite a large discount, which on a top of the range iMac would amount to a few hundred pounds. The Apple Refurb Store also have quite large discounts, and everything is as new and fully guaranteed.

No I don't know any students - refurb hmmmmm dunno if I fancy that - think I'd rather have brand spanking new n up to date.

I'm in no rush and seeing one of your posts elsewhere on here may well wait for the new OS to be launched. Heck I may go for something else completely like a flavour of Linux - still open minded for now :D
