Mewbie's Cell-u-Like Paradise
watch as exotic dancer Mewbie performs the dance of the seven cardigans
Eat as much as you like buffet
Ladies night and cheap Stella Thursdays
Still sounds more appealing than Aussie-a-like, 'leave your brain at the door', w*nk-fest that is Walkabout.
Although I'd be there for the buffet rather than the dancing.0 -

Ad, have you ever thought of going in to debating issues on a professional basis? Your comments add such insight and thought and clearly demonstrate an ability to consider an complex argument from all sides, gather the points in to a highly developed summary of a situation and present this information in a manner that pursuades, influences and questions the reader. You really should think about it.0 -

Highly intelligent contribution
Sometimes I have immediately dismissed what I see as nonsense posted on here, whereas in fact the poster had something thoughtful and insightful, and truthful to say, but simply could not present it very well.
So the quality of the post does not always mean it's right. I'm not commenting on the truth or otherwise of your post, just making a tangential point.
er it seems to be my day for going into one, so I'd better leave for now.0 -

Hi there onion boy, finished that ex-la dump youve been working on then? :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Now here's a thing. Obviously you are a class act, intelligent, educated, coherent. Bit like myself <ahem>. But it is easy to be an intellectual bully, and win arguments not based necessarily on the truth of the matter, but on the simple "I'm more clever than you".

Well, if you're debating or discussing an issue in 'the real world' then there a lot more factors that you can use to carry yourself, or make a point. On an internet forum you have what you chose to type, and that's it. Okay, you carry over a certain personality after a number of posts, but essentially it's just the text that carries your point.
Ad's posts are continually just one line. "I blame Clown, he's to blame for everything". "BTLers are all just sleazy". They show no real discernable thought on an issue, he never responds to any question you pose of his posts and fails to ever see any issue from any other point of view. This now seems like I'm picking on him (he can obviously come on and post whatever he likes and good luck to him for that), but you have to question the purpose of coming on to a forum to debate issues when you seem clearly incapable of doing that?
As an example of what I mean, Old Slaphead and Donaldtramp have been saying lots of things on that public sector pensions thread that I think are completely wrong and ill-informed. But at least they type more than 10 words in a post, take on other people's views, argue their corner, take your points in to account; debate the issue, in other words. Some of their posts have made me think, 'hmmmm, that's a good point. I still disagree with it, but it's made me think slightly differently'. Which is, surely, what makes a site like this engaging.
I suppose what I'm saying is, I enjoy debating issues with people. But if someone can't even clearly discern that no issue is completely black and white and has their mind completely and utterly made up and is incapable of even entertaining that their may be another angle, what is the point?
I have no idea if I'm 'cleverer' than Ad or not, but he doesn't really do himself any favours by just trotting out the same 15 word posts again, and again, and again...0
