^^ did you spend any time considering how you were going to repay a loan if you have no income or was it just NZ, NZ, NZ woopie??0

Apples2, of course i considered how i was going to repay it or else i wouldn't have been looking for a loan! I aint stupid!! Pathway finance had offered a low rate and repayment over 3 yrs which was affordable for me, that is the only reason I applied and of course there was an element of "NZ NZ NZ woopie" going on there, i'd have to be made of stone not to be excited about it! Not that my state of unemployment or whatever is the big issue here!
Anyway, just goes to show that if something seems too good to be true then it probably is!!0 -
I applied for a loan with this lender and they asked for a processing fee of £47.50 which i paid because i was absolutely desperate for the loan and they said that the loan was guaranteed. Their website says that loans turnaround was 24-48hrs but i don't know i have a very horrible feeling. Every time i ring it seems to be the same person i speak to?!? I wanted to ask if anyone has any experience with this lender?? Also i need this loan like yesterday, any suggestions on how i can get hold of this if this lender doesn't come through for me. The amount i want to borrow is £7000 and my credit report is not that good. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thankyou
I was conned by this group too. I still have the recipt from the natwest bank account I paid into. their EC2 address is just a mailing office and the reception for the building said the police have been informed.
Also they changed their freephone number to an 0870 number and noone answers and I am always fourth in queue!!
I did fax over that I have not received my monies and heard no reply. before their website closed down it said to write to Dalton house, 60 Windsor rd, SW19? got the details at home. however if you now look up cash genie that have e-mailed me the address is the same. I have contaced this company and asked nicely do they know of pathway finance? if so could they e-mail to save me a trip? I did say if I heard no response I presume they are the old pathway finance. as of today still no contact.
Does anyone know where all of us that have been conned off pathway finance know where we report it too? I still have paperwork, a copy of the receipt of payment into their natwest account.
thanks

surely by now most pepole are wise to them and hopefully they will go out of business, but no doubt they will change their name shortly and loads of pepole will fall for it
think they have changed their name to cash genie. The reason I think this is is that before they shut down thier website it seems like recently they gave a dalton house address, Windsor rd, ave got details at home to write too as another contact.
Now cash genie keep e-mailing me and guess what it's same address!! I have gone on their site and enquired if they could help me to find pathway finance and gave them a time limit to respond. I said if I didn't hear from them I will presume they are the new pathway finance.
To date I have not had a response from that question. Where can us lot that have been conned go with this stuff? and how can we stop others from being reconned??
I still have paperwork ect from pathway finance and reciept of what I paid them into their account.:mad:0 -

info that all of you may find interesting
the company have been registerd as a ltd and all of their details can be found at www companieshouse gov uk
Pathway Financial Services Ltd
145-157 ST John Street
London
EC1V 4PY
Status --> Proposal to strike off
No accounts filed either
They also had me with the scam after promising a loan amount of £5000. I got onto trading standards who told me the following info,
"Send a letter to them stating the Consumer Credit Act 1974 Section 155 and that you are giving them a deadline of 14 days to provide you with a refund minus £5 admin fee as laid out in the credit act of 1974."
I have spoken with someone today and they told me that if you had no responce within the 14 days to get back hold of trading standards and they will persue this issue further.
Hope this information is useful.0 -
I have been a total idiot! My boyfriend and are desperate for a lump some to sort us out and to help us move out. Being only 20 and not having the best credit history we struggled. We were promised by FLM loans that we had the £3000 loan we wanted and then it turned out a week later that we needed a guarantor. The only person we could ask was my father but he didn't pass the credit check either due to a few defaults a year or so ago. So we were even more desperate. That morning a letter came from Pathway finance and it all seemed too good to be true. (Turns out it is!) We are that skint that Monday I borrowed the money of my mum to pay the £64.50 to pay the fee and hope it was in our account soon! We rang Tuesday and my partner spoke to someone who said it had been approved and was being sent via BACS and would be in our account by Thursday. Its now Thursday and no sign of the money. We're in even more debt and have lost £64.50!!!! I was sat here in tears reading this forum! I can't believe we let it happen. We're both very switched on about things like this usually!0
