I was answered honestly and calmly by the person I spoke to.
I was told that several people had lost their original fees as they became irate on the phone and cancelled their loans in a fit of madness.
This isn't a comment one way or another about the firm you are discussing but a general problem with how you're going about establishing their bona-fides.
It's a total waste of your breath to ask a company like this if they're legit. A legit company is going to say "yes" because they're, well... legit.
A bunch of scammers will say "yes" because, well they're scammers remember? They're not going to break down sobbing on the phone and confess all to the first curious customer who asks "'scuse me, are you scammers?"
This exercise doesn't do anything to move you any further forward. Be persuaded by facts and information from sources you really trust, not smooth talking company reps.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
I, like before, web visited Monday and had Paperwork TODAY! Too good to be true my other half checked and found the delightful quotes here. So I shredded quickly. Then about 20 mins ago I had a call from an 0207 number saying it was Pathway and they were pleased to advise..............UI cut in with the fact that I had received paperwork, I was then asked to hold !! She came back with 'Our lenders provide good rates etc' so I advised I had read this forum, she just repeated the lenders have good rates so I said well in that case I will go direct, my problem is not the lenders but comments I have read - no more was said as SHE HUNG THE PHONE UP !!!!0

It would appear that by the grace of (dare I say it) my own intelligence I decided to pay this site a quick visit. I had googled 'pathway finance review' 'customer review of pathway' etc and found nothing negative. I also received the letter today. which is super fast considering I completed the form late yesterday afternoon.
As desperate as I am I am apprehensive of any company asking for a broker fee. I know they are entittled but they get commision so alsways thought it a rip off. Previously I've tried YES who did refund my money, 3 months later!
Double refund?... very clever
Anyhoo after googling 'pathway finance scam' OMG google went nuts and nearly blew my laptop up.
Having read this, it's safe to say I will be giving them a wide berth.
Thanks to all the people (that don't work for pathway) that have posted here and saved me £64.50 (yep it must've gone up)0 -
They must of put the cost up due to people getting wise to them courtesy of this forum..
on another note could those who have lost money to these shisters(sp) complain to the banking ombudsman as they are using a nat west account for "fraud" just a thought dont let them get away with it..

Well guys, as promised i have returned with some news.
"LEAVE THESE IDIOTS WELL ALONE"
They are a complete rip off............I have given them more than enough time and patience to sort the issues out and no reply. THEY Changed numbers several times, and am now unable to contact them.
I have reported them for fraud to the police and am also in the process of issuing them with a bancruptcy order. See where that leads.
STAY AWAY< STAY AWAY>

why do people need a £500 loan for a holiday? LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS... for
why is it people are doing the research after paying the money to these shysters....some people really are dangerous to themselves..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
surely by now most pepole are wise to them and hopefully they will go out of business, but no doubt they will change their name shortly and loads of pepole will fall for it0

I recently did a google search for a loan for unemployed people as my best friend is getting married in NZ. I have no savings so thought i would see if i could get a loan.
I came across pathway finance and by the next day i had recieved the forms to fill out and return. The fee upfront is now £54.50. I then recieved a call from a london number who said that i was guaranteed this loan and they put in the letters i would receive DOUBLE my fee back as "peace of mind" for me. I was over the moon as never thought i'd be accepted - credit rating not great and on benefits - but now on discovering this feedback I am so glad i never paid the £54.50. I have tried to get them on the phone too and on the second number i was given there is now a recorded message telling me to call 118118 for the number as the one i was given no longer exists!!!
Still looking for a loan but it aint easy since I am unemployed! I doubt i will make my NZ trip now
Thank the lordy for this forum!!!0
