If you had read these forums you would of found out these are money stealing scum and have no friends on here .....everyone stay away from all these company's they are relying on you being desperate.......do without like i have to..;)It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
hi, i agree with the responses to edward445- infact i think i had a little something to do with it.i received a letter from pathway and wanted to go for the loan, but the letter it self seemed dodgy- spelling errors and smudging, no authentic signature-so i did research on forums. i had read the first couple of posts on this site. i then called them to ask certain questions such as why they are they not regisetered with fsa and the guy fed my the same stuff. my advice is do your research. if this company is a scam its a real shame.0

I made the mistake of sending a cheque to these scammers for the processing fee and then made the mistake of paying the fee into the natwest, so they have had 2 fees as they seemed a bit ok, they had when i had been able to get hold of them answered all the right questions, until it came to the crunch, no funds have been depoisted, no more paperwork has come thru from the supposed lender and as yet NO REFUND, never mind a double refund!!!!!!
They keep changing the phone number and are if you check with companies house about to be struck off, so if i can give anyone any advice about these is STAY CLEAR.:mad:0 -
To those caught out by broker 'introduction' fees; it is worth reading Section 155 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974: (google this for full wording)
- Under section 155 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, a consumer is entitled to a refund (less £5) of the fee paid to a credit broker if for any reason the consumer does not enter into a relevant agreement within six months of an introduction to a source of credit or hire.

lets face it if all brokers ripped pepole off all the time they simply wouldnt be in existince so no not all brookers are like that there are some that dont take a fee until a loan has paid out
loanfinder uk no upfront fee they will find you a loan and as soon as the funds clear in youre account thats when they take the brookers fee of £62.00 well worth it as if they dont get you a loan paid out they dont take the fee0 -
I paid my fee to Pathway Finance on Tuesday 02/6
On reading this I am starting to get a horrible feeling that it was all just too good to be true!
I called on Thursday and was told the application had been recieved and passed to the approval department. I was given another number to call. The second number constantly rang out and then would not accept your call from a witheld number! ( Tried calling today and its now completely cut off)
I called the first number again on Friday to be told that the second number is out of action and that it would be Monday before there would be any futher update.
So I called yesterday and was told that my application was recieved on Thursday, was passed on Friday and that they hadnt started processing until Monday. This concerns me as I paid the money directly into their account ( 3 payment options direct deposit, postal order and cheque) direct deposit is supposed to give you a 2 hour processing guarantee NOT 2 days)
She told me that the money should be clear in my account by Thursday. After reading this I have a horrible gut feeling that all is not well. Have been trying to call today for re-assurance with no success.
Will hopefully have something more positive to report tomorrow.0 -
Good luck but don't hold your breath.
Stick to mainstreet banks or kiss goodbye to more "application fees"
Research before throwing money away, not after.
If I had a decent credit rating then I would have gone to my bank but due to long term illness last year I fell behind on payments on a credit card, my insurance wouldnt cover etc so ended up with 2 defaults (all up to date now however)
Not everyone can go to their banks and sometimes these lenders are all we can try, try not to be so judgemental when you do not know peoples circumstances!
Actually got through to them earlier this afternoon and the loan will be in by tomorrow.
I would still ask future customers to apply to them with an element of caution though and not to take the "too good to be true" application letter too seriously, not as easy as they made it out to be!0 -
im sorry to hear you fell victum of these money stealing scum but just quote the consumer credit act 1974 at them section 1550

I'm not trying to be judgemental. If you can't get a loan from a recognised, established high street lender, you really NEED to conduct some research BEFORE giving money to someone promising to give you money!!
Please post back tomorrow when you have your loan , I wish you luck, I will be the first to congratulate you if you receive any money tomorrow.0
