I'm feeling all familied out at the moment, but have another 24 hours:eek: til I'm home free again.

I havent been to the allotment due to the rain & my seeds o the windowsill are needing to be outside but it keeps raining there too  Thursday I had a bit of a naughty spend; I had to go collect new contact lenses & return a top to primarni ... came out £20 lighter but am now all 'topped' up for the next few months.

Yesterday I went with DD1 to view some accomodation & thankfully she loved it. It's only 18 months old so very clean & in a secure, quiet area purpose built for key workers with an on site manager. It is furnished so it looks like I'll be housing some of her stuff in the loft for an indefinite time , but at least she'll have her own space & not have to share a home with arrogant, ignorant bullies anymore :) which is fortunate because I've really struggled not to interfere .

We've had family over for lunch today which meant a trip to the shop & another £22.62 on the housekeeping bill :( & tomorrow I'm bringing my grandmother over here for lunch & DD1 is also attending, which helps to lighten the load & make me giggle rather than get stressed :o

I couldnt wait a moment longer so yesterday I completed the application for the 0% CC from my bank, so now just have to wait for the results ...

I've also been a cheeky ebuyer & got 2 skirts for £5.20 . Only one has arrived so far & it was far too long & frumpy for me so rather than despatch it to the charity shop I got the sewing machine out :A& half an hour later I have a nice knee length flippy skirt :D

Since paying the £2 coins into the bank & then paying £320 off CC1 I now realise that what with all the direct debits I dont actually have enough to pay the car tax :doh:so am going to have to use more savings again which means I have almost nothing left in there so need to start building that fund up again or we'll be very hungry on our self catering holiday which is now only 3 months away

Less eating & more saving needed.

 so much to do & so little time

Hello to all & sorry for lack of personal replies - it's on my to do list :o
Sunday I had my grandmother over for the day & she loved it, DD1 also came over ( practising hanign out with us in readiness for her brief return home I think, or maybe just enjoying the free food ) I was a bit sneaky & while washing up ( dont like anyone else in my kitchen) I also managed to wash the floors so saving one of this weeks jobs ;)

Have loads on with work for the next couple of weeks as 2 peeps on holiday so that's good for the finances. I paid £45 off CC2 ( minimum payment due next week) & another £18.45 off CC1 just to tidy up the total but was actually out by 10p but cant be doing with putting a 10p transaction through.

Balances now : CC1 £2,980.10 & CC2 £ 2253.90 so the total now is £ 5,2340 I'm happy because I can see it going down every week & the main thing I'm noticing is how the difference between the figures is closing up :)

I'm still waiting to hear about the new card .... _pale_

I'm struggling to haul myself out of bed n the mornings again so new plan is to leap out early & post a list of things to do each day ....

Todays list : in no particular order

Well done on the overpayments...I have been doing a bit of that lately too:cool: Fab news too that you have dusted your sewing machine off and used it:j

Not much to report here really, just ticking along and trying not to spend money:rolleyes: Had to laugh though as him that got chucked out (we are still friends at the mo) decided that he was coming up last weekend despite me going to the weeding dinner only he had a rude awakening on Saturday morning - the lucky chap found a group of firemen in his bedroom, seems that the silly twonk went out on the lash on Friday night (he drinks like a fish and has no 'had enough' button:rolleyes:), he came home and decided to cook something to eat and promptly fell asleep and in the meantime set fire to his kitchen:rotfl: Now he told me that he had done it on Thursday night but that didnt make sense at all. The cheeky devil has asked me to buy a new cooker (he has over £30K in his bank account:eek:) and has invited himself to stay so I have told him that it isnt convenient and that whilst his dad is back in Ireland (he keeps a flat over here because he is a health tourist:mad:) then he should use his flat because it has a working cooker. I don't want him hanging around my flat..he makes such a mess and trumps all the time:mad:

The rain has worked wonders - my salad leaves have started to grow lush at long last:j

Phew  You're so busy, you're making me feel tired by proxy. ;):D Glad the multi-generational weekend went well, and that you are doing ok.

Yay Lula on those credit cards! :T And extra income to throw at them for the next couple of weeks. Hope that you get that new card to help out with the interest.

How are the robinettes doing? I bought my mum a little furry tweeting robin as a daft cheer-up prezzie. It's been chirping and trilling at random intervals, causing much hilarity as it seems to be joining in with the conversations (ours and those of the real birds). :D Postie was most peturbed by it cheeping in his bag. ;)

Don't wear yourself out, eh? juggle.gif I'm now imagining you and the neighbour with a starting flag and rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrracing with those wheelie bins..... :D

    take care

    Hello my fabby friends,

thanks to Horace & Hollyberry for your input & encouragement :A

Horace - any man with £30,000 in his bank account can buy his own cooker . I am rather partial to firemen though so am wondering how on earth i can wake up with a lovely gathering of them in my home without actually setting fire to anything

The robinettes have now fled the nest Hollyberry & I spend much time at the window watching them fly to the fence from their new hiding place behind neighours big spiky plant. It's deterring jackdaws & magpies brilliantly. DD has a tweeting woodpecker that actually sound & looks exactly like one - I only found this out earlier in the year when one landed in the garden, she told me what it was :o I now have a bird book so I wont get shown up by a 9 year old again ;)

As to racing the bins out ... my lovely pensioner neighbour always puts mine out for me as she thinks I'm going to forget - I just prefer to do it last thing at night so can look at the stars on the way . I keep telling her that I wont forget but she seems to disbelieve me so I now try to get there first & put hers out too :D

I didnt do too badly on my list today, at least I did the things I thought I would .

keyboqrd is plqying up qs you cqn see; zill try qgqin lqter M9

    Morning all :)

Have to confess that at 6 I did consider getting up to post my list .... but my bed is just too comfy :o

Right, today is Tudor Day so DD is wearing her costume & looking gorgeous, if I had a digital camera I would post a pic because she looks fab :D she is also going to Bessfriends for tea & then on to Brownies so I shall not see her again until 7.30 tonight which means I have plenty of time to do more stuff on my list

Wednesday is my busiest work day but I dont start until about 11 so that leaves me with plenty of time to get those plants planted. We have strawberries on the plants scavenged from the allotment too so cant wait for them to ripen - must get some form of slug deterrent in place

    List for today :

    Plant & weed
    [STRIKE]Take up trousers[/STRIKE] Done :D
    Tidy my room :rotfl:
    [STRIKE]Work :(Almost done, on a break at 17.24 ;)[/STRIKE] All done :j
Pay car tax err, umm, errr ...

Hope everyone has a Happy Day :D

    bye for now

    Morning Lula

I agree beds are just too comfy - I didnt want to get out of mine today. Last night I had to put the electric blanket on:eek: but it was jolly nice to get into a warm bed and I am sure that helped me feel a lot better.

Hope you have a fab day - if you had a camera on your mobile you could have taken a pic of DD..bet the tudor outfit doesnt stay pristine for long:rolleyes:

Brief update as I'm on a fizzy coleslaw sandwich & soggy salad break :(

There was no planting or weeding to be done today as it took me ages to take up my trousers - I kept on getting the hem all wiggly & having to unpick :o but now they're good enough to declare on Luxor4t's os sewing thread :D

Have done all my official work, just have the private one to do so needed to boost my energy. Salad alone wont do that so it was the last of the fizzy coleslaw in the penultimate slice of bread for me ( have to leave one for DDs toast in the morning) ooh yum

The bank have come back with an offer on the credit card application ... it's a 'yes' at £1200 & a 'maybe' at the £3,000 I requested if I can send them a recent CC statement showing what they're currentlyoffering. I'm expecting to totally trump them as the current Barstycard limit is £6,900 :p

The balance transfer section is on the form they've sent me & I've been debating all afternoon whether to add the other CC as well but have decided against it as that would eventually leave me with a credit limit of over £5,000 when paid off so just going to send the statement & hope they go with the £3,000 request. I worked out that will still save me over £400 interest for the 6 months of the 0 % deal & still be half the current apr when the deal is over

Fingers, toes & knickers crossed for me please :D

All fired up with enthusiasm again now & delighted that I'm still being offered credit.

Horace, I have a camera on my phone & have taken a pic but am now too stupid/lazy/busy to work out what to do next

    back later ...

Fizzy coleslaw what on earth is that? Mind you I can't stand coleslaw..ewww

If you have a lead for your phone you could plug it into your computer which is what I do with mine - failing that I am clueless because although I like gadgets I never work out how to use them properly:rolleyes:

    Morning all,

Horace - fizzy coleslaw is the variety that is going off - not nice at all :( but being a good DFW I ate it anyway along with soggy salad - that'll teach me to over cater for [STRIKE]victims[/STRIKE]visitors

I've been warned that the next 2 weeks at work will be hideously busy  it doesnt phase me though as I just see that CC bill going down :D

List of todays deeds to be done :

    [STRIKE]
Pay another £30 off CC to make sure it's within balance transfer + fee level
    [/STRIKE] done :D

    [STRIKE]Hang out washing[/STRIKE] done :D
    [STRIKE]Send off CC application form [/STRIKE]Done :D
