            Hello all,
I was coming in for a moan about DD1 & her untidyness, lack of consideration ( does that come in a whole word ? ) but then I read your cheery messages & I have now lost the will to whine
Glad to hear both Hollyberry & Horace like my profile, I might well put that one on just for a giggle. I've had a couple of messages from guys but as I'm a tight old bat & refuse to pay the subscription I'm flying blind as cant view piccies .Mind you they havent seen me either This makes me a bit of a charlatan as I have absolutely no intention of meeting up with anoyone who I havent seen. This makes me a bit of a charlatan as I have absolutely no intention of meeting up with anoyone who I havent seen.
Anyway, over on SAID the fabulous gwen80 has informed me of dating through Quidco :j who ever thought you could cashback on a boyfriend :rotfl:
I'll be thinking of you on the 16th H :grouphug: & happy new watch to you
Hollyberry, I love the sound of your campervan trip *goes green with envy* I'd be interested to learn how luxurious yours was , is a shower/bathroom necessary or am I being picky again ?
I was hoping for a NSD today, but yet again DD1 failed to bring home the bread .
spent a busy couple of hours at the allotment & brought home more onions, lettuce & handful of still rather sour blackcurrants.
It feels like years since I've paid anything off the debts so I'm sadly looking forward to making tomorrows' payment.
Sympathies on the car expenses Horace, I had to do tax this motnh, due an mot next month & also have to save for a service & cambelt surgery in November
I really need to learn how to upload photos through my phone .... *wanders off to pretend to read leaflet *
 bye for now

Sorry that I've not been about much lately, I hope that you are okay?
I had to giggle at the obtaining a boyfriend via Quidco...good for you if you try it.
Horace - Sympathies for you regarding your eye op, what are you having done? My DH is back at the hospital on Thursday for an op on his eye (#3)
Well done on the debt busting Lula.
 Catch you later.

I'm also sniggering to myself about the cashback on dating. I wonder at what stage the payment becomes validated? Or more worryingly denied?
The campervan we took away was a blue VW bug, so definitely no bathroom, I'm afraid! It had two fetching checked hammocks in the roof, a double bed in the main van, and could fit another double hammock across the front seats. There were lots of little cupboards everywhere (great for books!), so plenty of room, plus a small cooker and a fridge. We stayed at campsites, then borrowed a house from friends, so it was just about bearable without a bathroom, plus it was very hot, so we slept outside a lot of the time. The only advice I can offer (apart from taking a van with a bathroom) is never to leave a bottle of red wine under the table on a hot day. It reached the ceiling when it exploded, leaving some interesting abstract art, and we smelled strangely of vinaigrette for many months. Perhaps that's why customs pulled us over. Although we were very popular in the ferry queue after major delays, as we still had tea, coffee and a stove. We also took it down to the beach (Cornwall and Devon), and to festivals so it has great memories. I like to think that it's still having fun in its afterlife, skittering down lanes on its way to the sea, its carpet full of sand and the wine stains still showing. We had been talking about taking a van across New Mexico, although I am being less than receptive towards this, as I am a bit scared that with a redundancy payment in the bank, I just might do it. Don't think it's feasible at the moment, but maybe in a few years.... Don't think it's feasible at the moment, but maybe in a few years....
Wol - that's a very sweet Pebble. I haven't had piggies since I was a child, although I still have fond memories of little white Scamper. He was generally well behaved, although I do remember him squeaking in very impolite piggese when his bid for freedom was thwarted under the gooseberries. Horace - Sorry to hear about your operation. If there is anything practical I can do that would be helpful for you, do let me know.0

            Hello all,
Tea - your absence is excused, hope the week end went well , must check up on your doings tomorrow:D
Hollyberry - I have total camper van envy now One of my neighbours has a fab vw that is for sale at about £8,500. He knows I'd love one & I think he wants me to buy it so he can still get to see it everyday. I just havent had the heart to tell him that I'm about £13,000 short at the moment  One of my neighbours has a fab vw that is for sale at about £8,500. I have been very good today & paid £100 to CC1 so now only need to find another £ 70 to hit target - easeeeeee :j
It's also been a NSD as mangaed to get DD1 to bring home more bread & cheese . .
Wol honey - , Thanks for the piccie of sweet little [STRIKE]Piddle[/STRIKE] I mean Pebble :rotfl:I might need to come for another cuddle soon . I need to consult with herself re being a babysitter ( she's booked in for friday already ) but I reckon that will be Fyne ( ha ha ) )
Need to get off to my bed now but will be back again very soon

            Hi all
Cashback for dating on Quidco - sounds promising, maybe I should look best not knowing my track record with men though:rolleyes: best not knowing my track record with men though:rolleyes:
I love the little piggy Wol:D I am hopeless with pets, I did win a goldfish at the fair once and he survived for 14 years till mum dropped him on the floor as she was cleaning him out (note she did the cleaning out not me).
Tea - I am having a cataract removed from my left eye, the op won't be straightforward as they have to avoid the trabulectomy (op to drain fluid from the eye) and carefully peel my pupil off the lens as it is well and truly stuck:eek: Thankfully, I won't need the one done in my right eye until I am 90:j The cataract removal won't give me my sight back but its purely for them to be able to see the back of my eye:rolleyes: Hope your OH's op goes well Tea...what's he having done?
Thanks Holly - I don't think there is much that you can do, I am pretty much sorted, my mate has offered to take me to the hospital and collect me (I can go on the bus there but its the getting back that will be tricky, hence her offering me a lift). Leo (my ex) has wanted to get into my good books for ages had said that he could take me to and collect me from the hospital and then announced on Sunday that he had a meeting to go to and a sailing opportunity that he just couldnt refuse and could I wait:rolleyes: Basically I have told him not to bother as I can cope just fine on my own (I will have to cope).
Sorry Lula for hijacking your thread with gossip. Don't know what to suggest about DD1's inconsideration unless you start forgetting to do her washing and cook her dinner.0
-
No worries on hijack Horace, I lke to pop in & see that there's something to read other than my own ramblings
Slightly less info required on the gruesome sounding surgical procedure  I'm so glad I'd finished my lunch before logging in
DD1 is now behaving well, she cooked diner last night which was very nice & as long as I let her know what we need from the shops 48 hours in advance then we might just get it before running out. I also have her booked in for some heavy duty overnight DDsitting on friday as I'm off to a secret venue with my sis  I've now got over the messiness & clutter as it's a week today that she begins to move on. I say 'begins' because I know it will entail at least 3 journeys & several days. I am also bracing myself for the fact that having lived without all the stuff in the garage for 4 weeks, she will now decide she can live without it forever
I am totally & utterly fed up with having to close & lock the garage each time I use the car. Usually only my car lives in the garage so I like to leave the door open when I drive out & then drive back in & lock up when I'm done, none of this drive out, stop close & lock door .... come home, stop, unlock & open door, drive in without crushing all DD1s posession, stop, squeeze out of car, lock car, close & lock garage malarkey. Things that hinder my progress & slow me up get right on my nerves, as does faffing about
I have minimal work today which is rather annoying as 1) it's quite sunny here & I could be at the allotment ... still waiting for gas engineer to appear & do his check up & 2) It means I wont be earning much this week & I need to find some time to shop for nieces birthday between now & thursday & am a bit miffed that there's nothing from Argos she wants :rotfl:- I have £20 of survey-earned vouchers.
Dad has said that he doesnt want anything for his birthday other than a card & my company, but not too often apparently . I'm not quite comfortable with this but dont know what else to do as he can afford whatever he does want, & doesnt really want much anyway  I think I will take him out for lunch somwhere rather than buy what he doesnt want. . Have again been pondering this single state ( now that I no longer have to wade through 25 emails from dating site each, I have more time for pondering) & frankly it does rather suit me at the moment. I conclude that it is easier to clear debts when not swayed by having to have new outfits, hairdos etc for dates. I just dont want to spend any money which will in the long run delay the DFD . Lets face it, I'm sure my total fabulousness factor wont decrease by a huge amount in the next 2 years :rotfl:0

            Hello all
I come with my head bowed in shame :rotfl:
Need to get this over & done with quick so :
Yesterday's trip to tatco - £50 of which about £35 on food, the rest on household & toiletries. Spent another £20 on fuel then £ 30 on birthday presents, £1.70 on parking & a sneaky £10 on a fab pair of Rocket dogs in TkMaxx & even more sneaky £ 6.37 on a couple of tops in primarni
As to the funds .... hmmm best we dont delve too deeply into that. It was a rubbish week workwise so earned a pittance
Drove over to Reading to meet sis for mystery night out & decided to park at the station, rather than pay for cabs - £15. The Killers at Hyde Park was the event & all I can say is they were Fan F* Fabulous :j Only spent about a fiver on drinks to keep us cool so not bad & was too excited to eat  so quite a cheap night out.
I drove home about 1.30 & have to say that's the best time to be on the motorway - no traffic at all, it is a bit eerie to see no lights in front though & for the rear view mirrow to be dark as well but I did the journey in the quickest time ever & also popped in to 24hour tatco for more bread which seemed to have disappeared since the day before
I've spent today doing a bit of tidying & washing & then accompanied DD1 to town for a spot of shopping & returned with a very cheap pair of sandals for hol & another top & a top for DD & also a really pretty duvet set ... total spend including parking £27.70  & a top for DD & also a really pretty duvet set ... total spend including parking £27.70
Have now joined a dating / friendship site & already attracted some slime looking for uncomplicated attachments ...
DD1 has now said that she wants to stay here & be best friends & house mates ... quelle surprise  I do washing & shopping & have a supply of all the things she runs out of; like deodorant, shampoo & conditioner, bread, milk etc... fortunately my shoes are too small for her & currently my clothes are too big I do attribute some of my weight loss to her though; nothing like having someone who was the same size as you & is now 2 sizes smaller living with you to spur you on & make you think twice about that second helping  I do attribute some of my weight loss to her though; nothing like having someone who was the same size as you & is now 2 sizes smaller living with you to spur you on & make you think twice about that second helping
We desperately need rain here but I am due at the allotment tomorrow & have to do more washing ( will it never end ) so if ti would get on with now please & be done by 8 in the morning that would be fab ) so if ti would get on with now please & be done by 8 in the morning that would be fab
 bye for now
