Wilkinsons have loads of stuff that you could do with the kids. They have sew kits for 50p where you make glove puppets/pin cushions etc with ready cut felt pieces. They have paint a mask kits for £1 with everything you need in there. Make fridge magnets, decorate a working clock and LOADS of other great arty stuff. Look in the section where they keep the crayons and things. It is especially nice because you get to keep things that the children have had great fun creating. My favourite, most precious things are gifts from my kids. My house is heaving with their creations.

    Hi carla ,

Sorry for asking the age i just thought so we can think of anything that would be more suitable for your kids age bracket :)

I wish you all the luck for the future in getting your kids back :)

I think maybe the younger ones will enjoy pictures etc but i beleive all of tehm will enjoy arts and crafts and its great time spending it together doing arts.

As previously posted , freecycle is definetly a great idea

    http://www.freecycle.org/

Don't underestimate it , they are amazing sometimes the things they give away. you can post a message asking for 'ARTS AND CRAFT MATERIAL'S' , Not to menton people give away televisions , beds , drawers and general household stuff if you are in need of any. I know many people have taken advantage of it , its better than the stuff being thrown away into landfill when sometimes there totally good.

Can anyone else think of anything else .........

    All the best Carla27

Big hugs to you ,my sis in law had to send her kids here for 6 months when she had a break down.Congratulations on getting there, its a long road but once you ve started it gets easier.
Do you have a local pound store,I get lots from there big glues ,glitter etc.
Also look up jewellery making, your little girls would love this.
Don t spend to long worrying about this stuff, they may just play as if you aren t there sometimes but believe me they know you are.
They will remember when they are older.;)
Life is short, smile while you still have teeth :D

have you thought about playing board games with them maybe in teams with the younger ones with the older.

Off the top of my head I'd say go for card games like snap, go fish etc and
simple board games like snakes and ladders, ludo, buckaroo and so on.

I think you could probably get lots of these from freecycle or charity shops - it's the sort of thing people buy and never use.

Good luck with reuniting your family.
