Mine was going through fine, then got told there was a delay due to a surge in applications, so told them to cancel it, because we were changing managers and I wasn't sure we'd be able to spare the time for me to do a course :(

I've pretty much given up applying for online courses. I was particularly disappointed with Vision 2 Learn, they just email every few months to say they have places when they don't.

Newcastle college do a really good running course, I did it a couple of years ago after finding it thrrough tis forum

I've applied for several of their courses only to be told there's no college support available in my area, so i can't do any of them.

I'm not sure how many colleges are affiliated to this, but if they haven't got one near me then it can't be very widespread. So, take heart those of you in Scotland, you'e not the only ones missing out! :(

    yeah, me too.

it all sounds very much "sorry we dont have the one you want in your area but we would be quite happy to take money from you if you want to do something less relevant or interesting".

No good feedback on these or from these people so far.

I am on a Vision2Learn course in health and safety at the moment. My employer (yes I have a job outside the home now) wanted me to do it and it was free so I said why not. Seems to be quite easy.

I completed the Health and Safety one a few years ago, it was really good, totally enjoyed it.

The good thing about Vision2Learn is you can work at your own pace, i had the H&S one completed within 3 weeks.

never had a positive response from these people yet. there are no guidelines on their site as to how funding is distributed throughout the country and no timetable of likely funded courses.

very disappointing, personally wont bother with vision to learn ever again.

I have tried several courses (all IT) and the emotional intelligence course, but the website says there are no free places on any of them. Shame cause the courses do look good and ideal for a mum with no child care lol.

what does it involve... sounds intresting!!

Hate to be a curmudgeonly so and so but Vison to Learn hasnt come up with the goods yet.

"Free" courses are rarely available, but they are only too happy to offer paid courses instead.

Lets hope they realise people have only so much patience and you cant con all of the people all of the time.
