Are you sure were talking about the same program? This is where you manually select them. It doesnt scan or anything like that

sorry rik, i was thinkng or regseeker! downloaded regcleaner (nice program) and removed the leftovers which seemed to fix the problem, again until i restarted my computer and the problem returned. I then right clicked firefox as run as administrator, which also fixed it but now it doesnt work buy doing that either.

now, bizzarely, i can edit one of auctions but not the others...

it also wont let me register for a new account (page loads the frame and ebay logo but nothing else)

When you open regcleaner ~ are the entries back again?

Will it not work through IE either?

Just turn it off briefly then.
If its that then install a 3rd party firewall like ~
PC TOOLS FIREWALL (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')
When installing you have the option of installing 'THREATFIRE' too (another antivirus program). Entirely upto you if you wish to or not.

Turn Off Spybots 'TEA TIMER' mode ~
    Open Spybot
    Change Mode (Top) to ADVANCED
    Select TOOLS then RESIDENT
UNTICK 'Resident TEA TIMER' (Leave 'SD Helper' TICKED)
