I need to use the component o/p to feed my tv and the svideo feed to feed my projector. Can anyone tell me if any of these models output both at the same time?? (My Avance divx player has vga, component, rgb and svid - but only one port can be active at any time - selected from the menu)0

You can check for this on the divxtest website. It has a very comprehensive search mechanism on it0

I wont get the 7200 heres a quote from a post in the yamada forums I use
"Stay away from 7200. It's based on the different chipset and much worse player than 6700." You have to be careful what Yamadas you get the Chillis are made by Yamada too and some of them are bad. The 6700 is a great dvd player, I only want the 6800 as it same chipset as 6700 with larger rom. It also have digital sound output for our amp.0 -
I have a Yamada divc player, think its the 6700 series. It broke after like a year, refuses to load anything now. Its te 2nd time its happened, the first time it kind of started working again after I put it in storage for a couple of weeks. But this time I think its dead for good.
Shame the warranty was expired by like a week or something. Still I guess you get what you pay for, yamada are without doubt a cheap product which you cant expect to last for years or be built of the best materials.
That said it seems they are somehow the best divx players on the market? anyone know a good place to get another one for cheap?0 -
The 6700 are hard to source now, there still one of the best players.
These had them in but out of stock

For a cheap and chearful DIVX player you can't go far wrong with th Amstrad DX3092, currently £19.99 in Dixons. It plays just about everything thrown at it but it doesn't have any optical or digital coax output (it does have component though).
An ideal DVD player for the bedroom / kids room.
Here's quite a good review of it

I was in currys today and saw loads of these amstrad dvd players but something just tells me not to touch em. I know they are cheap but:(
Peekton 6006, Yamada 6700 or 6800 or else the sonic from pixmania are ones I am considering. The sonicx from pixmania whats the remote control like on it?0 -
The remote control has a very cheap and basic feel and look to it. The remote for my 5 year old LG DVD is much better quality.0
