Its not the using it correctly its what you do after that. Most people wouldnt take something back that they got for free with vouchers. But there are a few out there who would.

I think this is whats been happening...
People have been 'buying' gym balls, ab toners etc.. taking back for refund then re-buying with more vouchers and returning again.. repeating the cycle with the vouchers from the Change one thing booklets.

Think you're probably about right there, until recently when bringing stuff back you could get a gift card without a receipt, and with the likes of ab toners that would have been profitable. I'm sure the majority of MSE's only go for glitches they will use, and if you have'nt done these kind of returns you're probably free from black marks!!

Forgot to say spent my last 2 skincare vouchers on TD body lotion so £2 each, got one in january with change one thing voucher and discovered it's lovely!

Well, what interesting posts from Robb!

My money is on the scam being the TD, gym ball, EA vouchers, etc, never mind anyone returning things, I should imagine that Boots "lost" a fortune just from people not having to pay for stuff! Not so much a scam as a !!!! up! If people returned stuff and got their money back or an exchange, yes it probably isn't that ethical, but that isn't the point, Boots should have had some kind of system in place, and if it was that big a deal no doubt we will see some changes in their policies soon.

I was a bit shocked to see that Robb had points taken off after using 4 vouchers for 50 pts each on meal deal in seperate transactions, if they only want us to have one mag they'll just have to post them out, rather than having them at the tills! There is nothing on the coupons to say that you can only use one of the vouchers EVER! And what about the machines, they offer the same vouchers over and over - if someone starts taking my points away then I'm going to be very  as I bought the stuff because the points generally reduce things to a similar prices as other shops, and it's nice to be able to use the points for little treats.

Yes sometimes we all get more or a similar amount in points to the amount of real money that we are spending, but this is down to Boots own offers - I think that black marks may be being placed against some staff rather than the customers!

I can just see an expose in the Daily Mail, with little photofit pics of all of us, labelled as Boots Tarts found guilty of gaining too many points on their AM cards! Please someone let me know that you think this black mark thing is a joke - it's just too much like infant school to be possible! ;)

I would just ignore all that - after all no one has said they have lost points, got their cards taken off them etc apart from Robb. So to me it is pure scare tatics.I have had an advantage card since they were first introduced and no problems- I am sure the rest of you are the same. The whole " story" of robbs doesnt really hold any weight and has not been any experiences shared by any other of the boots tarts shared on here.
Im off to EK today to spend the last of my vouchers and see if any bargains are out. Have a good day to you all !!!! :T

I have never heard of boots taking points without me knowing.....
  • Boots Chelmsford- AC machines have hand done 'out of order' signs on them. Maybe so they can update with all those new offers?
