Hi all
Just returned from boots. is this new policy or did I get an awkward SA.
from the ac machine I had a voucher for 100 points off a £15 shop and a voucher for 100 points off no 17 self tan.
The SA refused to accept both vouchers, told me I could only use one voucer per transaction. I pointed out that one was for a particular product and the other was for points over a certain spend but she was having none of it. I made her cancel the total shop and put it thru again as 2 seperate transactions.
On a seperate note, I know it was lunchtime and busy but there were dozens of women all trying to use up the £5 voucher. All crowded around the TD, Olay etc display. Very little left to buy under or just over the £5 mark. I ended up getting 2 x TD facial wipes. Then I was given another £5 voucher with todays shopping, so went back and got an olay moisturiser (only £1.49 to pay).
Also thanks to OP, went from boots over to Debenhams and got the clinique freebie.0 -

Same thing happened to my mum - she was gobsmacked
She used a lynx voucher and a total spend voucher, both from the AC machine last week, both went through, today she tried to use another Lynx voucher with a total spend voucher and was told only one per order!
Have just phoned customer service, and the chap said that some vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any others, but that it sounded as though the SA was wrong in this case, basically he said to ask the SA to try it and if the till accepted it then it was okay, it is the tills decision not the individual SA's decision (unless of course you are participating in whatever the earlier scam turns out to be).
So the moral is, tell the SA to try it! :T
On another note, the chap told me that the tills and machines are updated dailyGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

 Yuck, tongue scrapers and flosser tufts (what on earth are they?), this sounds too high tech, too gruesome and too like a visit to the dentist for me! :rotfl:GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

Tongue scrapers have been around for centuries......basically, there's no point in brushing your teeth at night if you don't clean your tongue too, most of the harmful bacteria lies on it. I'm living proof, used it all my life and have no fillings or false teeth or caps and my teeth are white too...not bad for a 34 years worth of "high tech" home cleaning.0 -

flosser tufts are like flossing string but really a tiny brush and a rechargeable unit (suppose to clean between teeth or if you have a brace to clean behind the wires )- not sure about tongue scrapers as those toothbrushes with the tongue cleaner on them make me gag.
Woudnt mind but Ive just been to the dentist today as well to have a tooth outThanks to everyone who posts comps :T0 -
Don't have any machines in my branch so went to our nearest "big" town. Both machines not working, one hasn't been working for weeks but the other is usually Ok. Had a skincare voucher to use up and ended up having to get a cleanser that I don't usually use for £4.99 because all the wipes, handcreams etc etc were gone. Also got 7 bodyforms with vouchers, one lot of four then another lot of three later on.
Got two Clinique samples in another shop as they told me last week in Boots that they were all gone.0 -

Went to our local Boots at 1pm today to find the doors all shut and SA's outside stopping people trying to go in!!
Apparently the tills had all gone down, forcing them to close the store!!
What have all you Bootsers all over the country done to make the tills go down?? Or have they just sussed us out in our store.
All the other shops in the indoor shopping centre were OK!!0 -
Went into store earlier to spend 4 x £5 vouchers and there was nothing in any of the ranges under £8.50! No wipes; nothing. I left with nothing as I didn't want to pay a lot extra but was rather disappointed.0
