Good grief you 3 can natter :)
Well it's my second to last day - and I'm only working till 3 yay!!! Then I have midwife (boo hiss - yes I know I should be excited but she's so miserable it's just no fun!). And then tomorrow is my last "working" day :) all couple of hours of it that I'll be working as I'll be in hospital all morning for my GTT (again... boo hiss... it's gonna be SO dull isn't it?)
Right - still have strawberries so will chop some up for taking to the office me thinks :)
Sorry for being so miserable yesterday :) Will be much happier once today is over and done with as tomorrow doesn't REALLY count when it comes to working :) So in my head today is my last working day hehehe
On the good news front DHs best man became a dad last night - healthy 7lb 11oz boy. Bit unfortunate that he arrived on April fools day I guess but at least he arrived safely!

  • Good morning everyone. Only 6 days until due date and was hoping for a bit of the other last night but OH decided I needed my sleep!! He reakons I should catch up on my sleep whilst I can. he is far too sensible.

I have some work friends coming round today and I havent seen then for 5 weeks. We will have such alot to catch up on. They are bringing me something nice round for lunch too.

If weather is nice later may go out for a long walk to help things along a bit as I swear that is how I got started with DS2.

Well I had strawberries and single cream for dinner - well healthy me :rotfl:
Tomorrow I'm in the other office till 3 then off back here for midwife appointment at 3:40 - So a reasonably short day thankfully. My back and hips are KILLING me and that's after a hot bath too! I really don't want to take more painkillers but did call doctors to get a repeat prescription of co-codamol so will pick that up tomorrow whilst there for the MW.
Bit miffed at the amount of people who made the effort to come to my leaving lunch drink at the pub... majorly miffed the director I work for (my line managers manager) didn't bother to come or to even sign my card... w*nker. when the head of tech support went on maternity he was all gooey and what have you - he hasn't even made a single mention to me about the fact I was pregnant, poorly or leaving to go on ML... thanks a lot.
And lovely to know that the PA of one of the directors got a gift card for over £300 when she went on ML... my team (which is small!) got me £45 - so obviously not a penny out of HIM then :(
Guess who won't be told when the baby DOES arrive then!
Certainly not making mee keen to come back...
Sorry to moan - just bugged me a lot that no-one could be bothered to come today - I know it's the middle of the week and all but even if they didn't like me they could have flipping pretended! Lord knows I've had the manners to pretend when any of them have had birthday drinks etc :(
Anyway - sulking now and gonna go to bed with my Terry Pretchett book and not think of the horrible lot at work because they're nasty and smell and I only have just over a day left of having to work with them so PAH! :(

Aww that sucks! People can be so rubbish. I've worked at a few places like that but honestly, people like that aren't worth bothering with. Put it behind you and enjoy spending your £45.

    Candygirl - congrats!

    Congratulations and welcome! :j

The first time we told the world as soon as we got our BFP but unfortunately m/c at 10w. With my next two we waited until the 12w scan to make sure everything was well. I couldn't put my family through such a horrid time again as they were so excited and it made it worse for me. We decided if it happend again we would grieve together and not tell.

But you do whats right for you! DH and I loved having our little secret and have lovely memories of dashing to our parents homes clutching our scan pics! :D

    xx

Leopardlady, I did the opposite of SB. We told everyone the first time and then when we lost it at about 7 weeks I felt I had people's support, so this time we told family early again and just didn;t tell friends until a bit further on, although we didn;t wait till the scan as I knew at 4 weeks and I coulodn;t wait that long!

I felt that if I were to lose this one too I'd rather people knew so they could support me.

I'm a bit cross today cos OH woke me up by chatting to me - just cos he has to go to work! I could have had a lie-in but he woke me up so totally I got up at 8am :(

Nice chilled day today - got a bit of work to do qand have some washing on but am meeting two friends for coffee and going to have a poke round the charity shops in town and see if they have anything nice that fits!

  • Thanks Septemberbaby - not really sure what my PCTs policy is on inducing. With DS1 (which was 14 years ago) I was due to be induced at term plus 7 days however with DS2 I was due to be induced at term. I have an appointment on my due date so if I last until then I suppose I will find out then. I have had inductions booked with both my pregnancies but fortunately went into natural labour prior to these dates.

Can anyone please help me. I had my first period after baby was born about 2 months ago. When should my next one be?

I know they say it wont go like clockwork again for a little while, but its been 2 months now, I am still feeding regularly so will this affect things?

I hope Im not pregnant again its to soon.

Can't help much either. I was breastfeeding and went from just given birth to pregnant again in less than 4 months, with no period at all! So have been a sterling example to all my friends that breastfeeding does not work as a contraceptive even before solids are introduced to baby's diet, despite what some FPCs would have you believe. Amazingly even after I'd given birth to no 2 in these circumstances when I went along to the FPC a few weeks after the birth, they still advised me that as I was breastfeeding I wouldn't need to use anything else for at least the first 6 months, but I wasn't taken in twice!

If you think you might be pg, then test, but if the test is negative, it probably just is that your body is taking a while to get back into its normal cycle again.

how smug are you! seth decided to wake up every hour and a half last night, i'm shattered! and to add insult to injury i can hear OH snoring away in the bedroom  i gave up trying to sleep at half 7 when he was wide awake gooing and chatting away. then he made a massive shouty noise, did the worlds longest noisiest biggest poop, went "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" in pure satisfaction and went straight off to sleep, crazy child! babies are so funny!
