I go through gaming phases, although I'm probably a bit of a Girly Gamer. I've got PS3, Xbox 360, DS, Wii, very good PC, a NES and a Megadrive. Nothing better than playing games on the massive telly! I like co-op games with OH, although I seem to blow him up more than anything.

OH originally was a graphic designer for a games company, then he got into programming. Did a lot of Gameboy games.

Oh did get some 2 player games for his xbox. But i got bored lol.

a good one was Mortal Kombat Vs DC universe. I was always wonderwoman :D

At what point do you think i should invest in a maternity support bra?
My bra's are getting small now as it is, and im only 5 weeks :( x

Yes but wait another couple of weeks... and get it properly fitted (personally I would recommend Bravissimo but then at 32GG normally and a 34JJ now I can't really go in highstreet shops to buy mine anyway :) )

Mine have settled a bit now (should hope so too - bloomin 33/4 they ought to stay that size till she arrives :rotfl: if not then I'm in deep trouble! :) )

And don't buy "maternity" bras - just buy a good well fitting one - personally I find underwired very uncomfy now but horses for courses :)

EA- when you have your proper booking in with the midwife they fill in a massive long form and will ask you everything so make sure your OH goes with you as they will ask bout his medical history and his parents as well.. everything gets noted down so if there is a problem they can refer to your notes. unless you are lucky, your GP will prob go 'ok. make an appointment with midwife for when you are 8 weeks' (i think i got more than that cos he had look in his big medicine book lol )

OH brother was born with severe glaucoma and is registered blind so our baby will have early sight tests to make sure they are ok. as this can be hereditary. OH found out that day he is to have regular tests for galucoma which are free as his brother has it. but if i had been on my own i would never have thought of it.

Well diabetes is in my family. My grandad has it, and my mum is borderline.

    Should i mention this to?
    x

Yes - although your MW will ask about family medical history at your booking in appointment :)

EA - they will ask you all about your family history. You should find out if they are Type 1 or Type 2 (Type 1 usually develops in teenagers and they take insulin, Type 2 develops later on in life due to obesity, poor health, heart disease etc). I suspect they are probably Type 2 which isn't as bad.
Because I was first born and Mum had diabetes I was put in an incubator for a few days and monitored really carefully. Apparently, there is a risk of me getting Gestational Diabetes so I have to have a GTT and see consultant.

Also, don't expect your GP to answer all these questions, they will more than likely just tell you to take Folic Acid and book in with the MW. GP's don't have much to do with it these days so probably don't even know the answers to some of these questions.

    Like the new Avvy!!

Hi Jillie - I seem to have bloomed over the last few days and bump is really there now. Started wearing my mat trousers since Friday - they are so comfy I never want to take them off!
Clearing stuff for eBay on Saturday so will look at Nursery then me thinks.
If you have questions about ebay then just ask on here - I'm happy to help as most others would be to.

I'm a gamer when I can be bothered - racing games are my fave! Whoop OH's bottom on the old Mario Kart and Mario & Sonic on the Olympics! I was first person in school to get a PS1 - Dad was sooooo cool!!! :rotfl:

EA, I swapped to maternity support bras (ie non-wired ones but without the clips on the cups for breastfeeding) at about 10wks. Went from a 34D to 36D by then, and now at 24wks (crikey, where did the time go?!) I'm in a 36DD, which to be truthful I probably should have bought about six weeks ago! :o

Diabetes, I've got on my notes that my paternal uncle (Dad's brother) has Type 2  I didn't think that distant connection would matter but the midwife said to put it down.

I am as well, although I play WoW too!:o is it sad that dh and me will sit and play WoW on our respective laptops next to each other? :o

Just asked dh if I moan/talk in my sleep more when pregnant and he says I definatly do, apparently I was having a full on conversation with myself last night!
its a far too common occurrence that I turn up at MIL's to find her on pc in kitchen, BIL upstairs on pc and BIL's GF on laptop all playing WoW together!
