On the subject of school entry and ages, you can defere entry if your child is only going to be 4 (can't remember the exact details). I looked into it for DS2 (April birthday) but he is too old.0

This made me chuckle!! I know his accent isn't but he is rough as 'owt!! he's originally from the rough bit of Glasgow - surely you know this Misses?:p
have you read his autobiography? I read it from cover to cover in about 2 days - loved it!
Autobi-what? Never read them! Cook books count? :rotfl: well then, in that case he is a plum for adopting a posh accent, I could handle rough Glagae over marble-mouth when saying the F word.0 -
SB - :j yey on ur medal! I must have been right 2,000 posts gets you a silver
Tine - I agree the IL's TV is frankly ridiculous they have a massive surround sound system the main bit is a huge speaker (think the kind that came with Hi-fi's in the 80's) all the buttons are on the top and its pretty funny when one of the cats presses the on button in the middle of the night! :rotfl:
god my memory is going! oh yeah Thanks for thinking pink for me!! scan is at 4pm so prob won't get to tell you lot until 5:30 at the earliest (I wasn't going to tell you but that didn't last long did it! :rotfl:)
Feelie - good look for the DAU today! I know that the hosp can send you home with a BP monitor if you are willing to go get it then return it exactly 24hrs later, My mum and Gdad have high BP and they have one of those monitors fitted once a year. obviously they don't monitor baby tho, don't they strap the belly part to you so you have a free hand? is the movement button of the size that you could put under your foot/chin and press it like that?0 -
Hey up all,
Well, reached 33 weeks with twins and so hoping they are going to stay in there longer.
Am on a bit of a downer and this really isn't like me. I think I overdid it on Thurs in town shopping for new bedding etc for when the loft conversion is finished and by the end, I could hardly walk. Although I have been on maternity for a month, yesterday was the first day during my whole pregnancy where I just sat all day with my feet up due to back pain. Well, not quite - glutten for punishment and ended up vacuuming and mopping bathroom, landing, stairs and hallway after builders left and the mess is so depressing. I am just really feeling the strain physically. I don't know if my skin can stretch any further.
Also, as D-Day is drawing closer, although I have read loads, I am pretty crapping myself about the birth and I am no wimp. I think I am just trying to come to terms with all the hormones and emotions floating around me - it is just a different side to me which I am not quite used to!Proud mother of twin boys - double the trouble and twice the pleasure! :T0 -

He is from rough part of glasgow BUT his dad was an alcoholic, wife beating, criminal who moved around alot to avoid prison/bailiffs etc so he spent a lot of time all over GB and hence didn't end up with a scotch accent. He hates his dad with a passion and tried his best to be nothing like him hence leaving home very young and being the sort to manage to be as successful as he isI'm a big Gordon fan (can you tell?
) but I think the reason he swears so much is due to his upbringing ie his dad swearing constantly in a drunken rage was all he heard from being born. His brother "the apple of dad's eye"is the only one that didn't see his dad's faults and is now god knows where and is a heroin addict.
*wonder's off to continue to stalk Gordon* :rotfl:0 -

Ickle - all you describe is soo normal
Giving birth is such a scary thing for a first timer, I watched tonnes of births on tv and read magazines and stuff but you just can't know what it will be like before it happens and then you forget all about it within hours of it happening!
Keep rubbing cream/oil on your bump - even if the cream/oil doesn't do anything the rubbing will be relaxing to you and babies and the increased blood flow with help ur skin feel better
You're probably as big as most single baby carriers are when ready to pop so I understand how uncomfortable that is!! Just keep thinking/talking it through if that helps or sit firmly in denial if not - I went for denial last time right up to going into labour I kept saying "it'll be fine, birth isn't hard/painful" LOL0 -
Morning all.
Just a quick one, got to crack on with decorating the house and preparing food for OH's Daughter arriving, we are doing her a little tea party, I'm so excited, I picked the cake and everythuing, well I only get to do boys stuff so It has made a nice change!
ICKLE - I'm a 2nd time mum and crapping it about the birth
My neighbour who is having twins has been given her date for her section, she'll be 38 weeks exactly, she has tro have a section becuase she has a hernia though.
I'll try and get on later but think the tea party is carrying on for all the adults so not really sure, have a good day everyone.
Hugs to all that need them and good luck Feelie xxxxxxx:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
