  • Hello everyone!

How are you all? It is so hard to try and keep up so I am afraid I haven't got a clue what you are all up to.

Benjamin is fast asleep in his car seat, which I know makes me a bad mummy leaving him scrunched up in there (we came home from an appointment about an hour ago) but I haven't the heart to wake him...making the most of a little bit of internet time :o

Whoever said about PJ's for after the birth - I couldn't put pj bottoms on because my legs swelled so badly (they were twice their normal size and solid with water retention - I could barely lift them to put them on the bed). I had to send my mum to buy me another nightie...just something to bear in mind.

And I don't know if I mentioned this but the Boots maternity pads are much better than any of the supermarket brands IMHO. Boots also do an Ultra Slim maternity pad which were good for after the first 4 or 5 days or so.

And just a little boast - I got back into pre-pregnancy trousers after 10 days:j :j My little boy feeds so much he is just draining all my baby weight away lol (alright, so the belly is still there!!)

Too many children, too little time!!!

  • tia - that's horrible hun. I would have been in bits. Probably aimed at the wrong audience too - I wish they could make the idiots that do these things sit through those kind of presentations.

Seeing as we're boasting - i went on Wii Fit yesterday, and i'm 5lbs lighter than last April (pre-pregnancy)!! I've no idea how as i'm eating whatever I fancy, i've got big boobies for feeding and a wobbly empty belly (looks like a bag of porridge!) :(

Shellsuit I think we have a lovely accent over here - scouse, but posher! Although if you go anywhere else in the country they think we're scouse - but compared to a proper scouser, we're so not.

Tiami How horrible! Even without the added pregnancy hormones, that made me goosepimply and upset. Hugs to you (til OH gets in so you can have a proper one!)

Candy - Are you excited? Her burst of energy sounds promising! Are you still going to be her birth partner? I'd love to be someones birth partner now, to experience the birth without the painful bits, iykwim

Thats it I think - Sorry if i've missed anything/anyone - but you pregnant ladies have too much time on your hands to talk/type!

(I've noticed how much slower the Parent thread moves - we're obviously much busier now!:D )

I'm feeling a bit nervous right now as I have to go and see the midwife attached to my GP's surgery in about an hour. When I saw my GP right at the beginning of my pregnancy re my chicken pox scare, he asked me to have a booking in appointment with the surgery midwife, even though I'm having all my ante-natal care and the birth itself privately. I just suspect when I do pitch up though, even though the doctor has told me to go, presumably for some funding reason or something, she might be a bit arsey with me and think I'm wasting her time!

    Ho hum, be brave!

Ladies have any of you use both styles of dyson? random I know but I'm gonna get a new one once bubs is here (ie when I get my MA fingers crossed) but I'm not sure if the pull alongy one is as good as the upright, started a thread but no-one replied :(

Sami I just bought a new dyson, its a pull along one, Havnt taken it out of the box yet:o , hehe were doing loads of decorating so the place is a tip and having new floor liad this weekend - only got it for my new rug and the stairs as it laminate or tiles everywhere else, and this says its best for those kind of floors! I have used both before though and do prefer the pull alongs! Hope that helps a bit x

Nicki it may be that they have to cover their backs...NHS needs to have records just incse you get admitted to nhs hospital for any reason, or to give you prescription exemption or HIPG forms etc. It will be fine! :D
