Sugarspun - good luck at your scan tomorrow! Our LO was cooperative for the boy/girl part of the scan, but he wouldn't cooperate for the measurement part - so we have to go back on 2 April for another scan - but we get to see him again, so I'm not complaining!
Tarajayne - yes, 35wks is a bit early to be fussing around with it. Once you hit 37-38 wks, I know we tend to start eating more curry! LOLMSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
38 weeks today and bathroom and kitchen almost finished so OH said it is ok for baby to come along now. My sister who is 37 weeks is booked in for a c-section tomorrow so is going to beat me to it.0

Can I just freeze pure orange juice? I think that's all that's in the one I've just had.. Surely that's a fruit portion too?
ETA: Oh and cloudy apple juice too? Used to have apple Mini Juices (like Mini Milks but harder to find) when we were little.
So they did exist! I was convinced I'd had an apple mini milk when I was a kid, but no-one believed me!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
It was me saying about the EPO in the foof - weeks ago.
At 39 weeks i'd gone to the health food shop for more RLT - and the woman in the shop told me about it. I didn't try it though - i wouldn't have been able to reach my foof anyway!
In my 39th week I had pineapple, curry, clary sage baths and eventually forced OH ino a bit of jiggy. Labour started the next night. But maybe it would have started anyway.
I've looked on other forums () and some people are odd, trying stuff far too early. Not here though, we're all lovely and normal.

Morning all
Quick question, when your baby started getting really big, could you feel the difference with having less fluid around him? My bump feels a lot more lumpy, and when he moves I can feel it a lot more (ouch!). Got appointment this afternoon so will check with them, but I imagine its normal?
I'm not that fussed about the baby coming on time. I'm 36+2 now, and have no plans to eat pineapple, have sex or anything. My Mum did advise me to focus on 42 weeks as the end so I didn't get too fed up, so I'm alright with that. Plus I'm not ready! I've only just got used to being pregnant. I suppose having a 6 month pregnancy has its benefits!
I hope AF comes here soon, I want updates!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
astonsmummy wrote: »Morning all, looks like I'm first up.
Had a really restless night, dont look like anythings happening, but I want him to hold in there for at least another week anyways cos it's OH's daughters birthday today and we have got her overnight on Sat :j with permission from the mother........at last! so we are going to do a little tea party for her.
I had to have a bit of hows your father last night though, been gagging for days!luckily it didnt set me off :rotfl:
I think I'm nesting, sorted out the baby's hospital bag yesterday which led to me clearing out DS wardrobe and drawers, chucking out any clothes that he dont wear and tidying them up and putting away his and bubs clothes lol
I cant beleive i'm going to be a mummy again in a matter of weeks!
Anyone go on the bounty website forums? there are some weird people on there, women trying to get their babies out from 35 weeks, putting EPO up there foofs the lot! :eek:I get excited so easily these days, I actually yelled "woooo!" when I read AF's FB page :rotfl:
I'm gonna give eve prim oil a whirl but not before my due date, I want a June baby so not doing anything to try to get him/her out before then!0 -
interesting..
"
According to a study on ‘The length of uncomplicated human gestation’ by the Department of Epidemiology, Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts, they found:
“For primiparas (first child), the median duration of gestation from assumed ovulation to delivery was 274 days (41+1 weeks preg), significantly longer than the predicted 266 days. For multiparas (more than one child), the median duration of pregnancy was 269 days (40+3 wks), also significantly longer than the prediction. Moreover, the median length of pregnancy in primiparas proved to be significantly longer than that for multiparas”"0 -
AM - something to consider with the castor oil
"Some believe castor oil will also stimulate the bowels of the baby and result in the passing of meconium. There have been trials which say otherwise, and some that tell us that there is no proof that the castor oil even circulates to the baby. So a tricky one – definitely make sure you consult your medical carer on this one and please do your research."
it from the site bellow, looks good to me - lists all the natural ways to induce labour, also says its safe to take EPO orally or up da fooffrom 36wks.
