I suppose it's for the same reason we all start eating pineapple and curry and start having sex when the baby is almost due even though it's probably the last thing we want to do. By 39-40wks, we're ready for the baby - even if it's not always quite ready for us!MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

Some people have no patience, why would anyone want their baby to arrive before it was ready.
Baby will come when baby is ready! I will admit that when I get to 39 weeks my routine will consist of lots of sex, curries and pineapple but I draw the line at putting an EPO up my foof!! But these are OWT's so who knows what will happen!
Is 37 weeks 'term'?A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

The main reason i was gonna start trying to get him out from 37 weeks is because I really really want to go into labour spontaniously as my induction options are limited due to a previous section, plus they will want to induce me at 41 weeks too.
God having a previous section is such a bloody hindrence!:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

I understand after 38wks as you are full term, I meant at 35wks. You've waited for months so why would anyone risk anything, just mulling it over.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

Anyhow, from my understanding. It doesn't matter what you stick up yourself(excuse the pun) if the cervix isn't ready it will make no difference at all!Too many children, too little time!!!0

Silly moo! She might change her mind if I show her photos of my nephews from last August, twins 11wks early. Was not a good time for their mummy and daddy.
Gotta go work, bye. XToo many children, too little time!!!0 -

Ooooooooooh scan tomorrow!
This one's a 21+change scan, so we shall see organs and movement and - we'd better see proof of gender this time as opposed to "we're fairly sure". I'll spend tonight poking my belly insisting that the tiny boxer in there spread em for us.
There was simultaneous kicking and punching last night in two separate locations. It was pretty cool, in a weird way. It made up for my mammoth journey home - had a meeting elsewhere in the country, but my train back was cancelled. My replacement ticket involved a seven-minute connection, but the first train was five minutes late. So I had to run - run! - to the new platform, only to find that the connecting train was 15 minutes late itself.
Home 45 minutes late to find frantic husband, anxious cat and a rant about keeping my phone charged. Oops.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
