I can't remember DNA, RNA and protein synthesis at all! *weeps* I hate bloody human biology right now!
Is it sad that I know the difference between DNA and RNA? I read too many books (and in this case I can blame Kathy Reichs lol)

You know... my MW hasn't even MENTIONED kickcharts to me at any point in this pregnancy... I guess it's a good job I come on here and do so much reading myself that I would know if something was amiss... the one time when she had a bit of a lazy spell I got her jiggy again with a full fat coke and sweets LOL
And honestly I think at the moment I'd soon spot if she stopped moving as much as she ought to. Definitely less kicking though - if any at all! It's all mainly squidging round to get comfy from what I can tell... at times I'm sure she's doing a full sumersault in there :)

Hey there! Not posted for a few days.
Had a nice weekend – a good spring clean (due to mum, MIL and other family coming for dinner today) so feel better for that, and went out a drive and for a pub lunch with DH yesterday which was a nice change. Dinner was a success today and OH is running his mum home and staying over, so I have a king size bed to myself! Yippee!
Went to Mamas and Papas on Friday after work to have a look at some prams etc. How on earth do you know where to start?! There are so many! Our trip was cut short though when DH bent down to look at a car seat on the ground and ripped his suit trousers right up the bum!!! He had white boxers on too which made it worse! Quick exit for us. Ha ha. :o
Hope you all had a nice weekend too.
MFD – thanks for the birth story. Good to see the different things that can happen and to know if it’s not all plain sailing that we are not alone.
Welcome to all the newbies – quite a few this weekend. I seem to be zooming up the list now!

Thanks :) I had no idea you can bleed from thrush - none of my books say and I've gone back and checked and there's not a lot on tinternet about it either.

I didn;t even know I had thrush! I've had no itching or anything but the doctor said that's because you are so well lubricated in pregnancy.

Anyway, I used the pessary last night but I'm still so sore from the internal because the speculum was the wrong size

I'm taking tomorrow off work as I still feel utterly drained emotionally and I have to go to the GP anyway, but baby has been kicking like a donkey today so I know it's OK.

On the subject of kicking - the doctor said to count for ten movements in ten hours but I have counted 100! Is this normal? I never bothered counting before but if ten is the yardstick is my baby hyperactive? :p

Also, should I be counting regularly? What do other people do? It's quite distracting to count every movement as I lose count if I don;t concentrate but then I lose track of conversations.
Mine only bleeds when I wipe after the loo, what i mean is i never see blood in my knickers lol
And yes 100 can be normal, my son doesnt seem to ever sleep

See now I'm puzzled about conflicting info. I have been dealing with thrush (slowly going away finally), but both GP and midwife told me not to use the pessary only the external cream. The pharmacist insisted I needed the pessary and told me GP and midwife were wrong, but I was loathe to go against their advice. *sigh* Frustrating. But at least it's going away.
My doc prescribed the pessary after geting thrush the 2nd time in about 3-4 weeks.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Good Morning, Sun shining here again!
Well due date came and went yesterday, still no baby!
Must admit to a few pains low in tummy but nothing that lasted.
Im very nervous if im honest, not sure what to expect, with DS who is now 8 I was induced so dont have a clue what to expect if labour starts itself.
    Hope something happens soon!
Anyway enough of my moaning, hope everyone is well and has a Happy Monday x x

    Morning all..

Thankfully I've managed to get myself up and out of bed this morning :D OH usually wakes me up as he goes to work and phones me again at 0730 to make sure I'm up, but he's on holiday this week - lucky so-and-so! I've been a good wifey and taken him a cuppa in bed :)

    Best get dressed now..

Labour vibes for Choccie (and AF if you still need them!) :)

Hope everyone has a good day xx
