I should be sleeping in my own bed tomoz night! :D I've got some pics to put on FB of the mess so I'll pop a link up later/in the morning;)
FIL finished his job and went off skiing the following day:rolleyes: he's back 2mo and starts a new job v soon, its in edinburgh so not fantastic for travel and accommodation but can't turn your nose up at a job these days!! He got it without an interview tho because when the interview list was given to the big boss man he had worked with FIL before and said "cancel the interviews he's our man!" :D

    Thanks for askin :) x

You've been extremely patient about your house, think I'd have been having daily tantrums. Our scaffold should come down in next 2 weeks. I rush to get dressed every morning as I'm terrified in case I don't hear them turn up and have an awful image of a horriffied workman at the bedroom window with a pregnant lady in her underwear.

Well done your FIL, must be excellent at his job. You can get a holiday after all, fingers crossed. :p
Too many children, too little time!!!

Sorry been watching a film with DH :)
Yes it's milk for heartburn - so much of it that hubby threatened me with getting a cow - it would be cheaper to have our own with the amount of milk I drink!
AM you're not fat or ugly :)
I've had nookie once that I can recall since falling pregnant... if anyone should have a complex abotu being fat and ugly and what not it's me :) DH can tell me till he turns blue that he loves me and fancies me and that it's JUST that he can't get his head round the bump being there... I know he means it but I still feel fat and ugly and I know my !!! is getting huge and I've put on 2 stone so far with 2 months to go and I hate it...
But there isn't anything I can do about it and I know deep down that it's just hormones :)
But I DO think that having my hair done might be a good idea... hmmmm might give my mate a call and see if she can fit me in :)

  • Ok this may be a long one but I need to get some things off my chest......

I feel really down atm, I cant put my finger on it, of course I'm happy and excited about the baby, but I am starting to really hate myself, I'm snappy and horrible, dont really want to go anywhere or do anything.
I absolutely cant stand the way I look and feel like I dress like a tramp, I know I cant do anything about it right now but I really want to change my whole image when I've had the baby, loose weight, change my hair and clothes, I just dont want to be me anymore :(
I dont think OH loves me, and I dont really blame him, I'm a mess and he could do so much better than me, I feel like he looks at me in discust, and I know he thinks i dress like a tramp.
I dunno, maybe it's because of my big belly, but I just feel vile..... (she says about to eat cheesburger and chips )

I cant afford to have my hair done properly, so I bought some relaxer (chemical straightener) today, and will have to try and cut it myself, I dont want to go into hospital with picky hair.

Sorry for the crap post, i just needed to vent.

Aww, AM, its made me really sad reading that. You are beautiful (we've seen the pics! :p) and you're creating this little baby in your tum. I was a size 8 when I met DH and now I'm much bigger :o. He still loves me and nothing has changed but I do want to get in better shape for myself. I've been to see my Dr and she is referring me to the dietician. She also mentioned appetite suppressants which I'm pondering on but want to see if I can shift some myself before I take that route. Try and not let the last few weeks of your preg get you down and there will be plenty of time to think of all this stuff after bub is here.

    Lots of hugs.

No, a few days after Poppy was born whilst waiting for my first poodle to arrive :o. I bought it in advance for post-Jamie but didn't need it (thank god!).

Are you still having problems? Nothing worse is there?

I've got a huuge bottle of the stuff on prescription but (silly I know) I'm a bit scared of having it :o the dosage on the bottle says 3-6 5ml spoons - pharmacy label says just 1 spoon so I'm sure I'll get a gentle affect but I'm still paranoid that within minutes of swallowing the stuff I'll be legging it to the loo :rotfl:
Did they tell you to take it whenever or before bed like it says on senna box?

ahh I couldn't have thrown a tantrum - the work only took 2 days but the clean up has been the drain on time, I can't do most of it as my hips n back are bad plus got nowhere to put chris while I did so its been my mum mostly with some help from dad and my OH during the evening because everyone woks full-time. I just wish I could have done it myself but just not practical

oh and I walked past a full length mirror starkers today and caught a glimpse of myself, I didn't stop to look properly just said to myself "you're pregnant it doesn't matter" :p

AM i was a teeny tiny size 8 and now a 18, i felt awful when i was preg and didnt want to get dressed, stayed in a lot and felt awful. As soon as baby was here i had my friend out to do my hair, went short and blonde to brown. have bought new clothes and to be honest i feel great, would love to be skinny but right now i am not worried or in a panic about it all. i want to enjoy baby while she is still small and know what soon enough ill loose the weight(she says after a mc d's and a choc pudding!)

I sent DH out to buy it over the counter after I asked the mw what was best so wasn't given any other instructions other than the label. I'm pretty sure I took 2 spoon fulls though. And yes, it does work :j but it took a good 24hrs for me. Oh, and it tastes so sweet but in a yukky way! :D

PS: its also used to treat some kind of liver disease to make sure you're not reading the instructions for that! ;).

I've been away from the thread for a few days (apart from an attempt at catching up on Wednesday at work but it didn't work as I kept getting interrupted).

I'm making notes as I'm reading, so some of my comments will be relating the posts from yesterday and before.

Angela (my date twin :D). I was wondering where you had been. Sorry to hear about the tough time you've had recently. I'm glad everything is OK. Take it easy though, won't you.

Congrats to Emlou on the arrival of seth and thank you for the birth story. Not boring at all - it sounds quite dramatic to a first-timer like me!!

AM - your midwife sounds lovely, just like I'd like mine to be. I really haven't clicked with mine yet but I've only seen her twice and have my next appointment next week. Hopefully I'll like her more after it. Yours sounds so nice.

I've found it difficult to get maternity wear. I was (silly girl) looking forward to kitting myself out, but there is hardly anything around. My DP, New Look, H&M and Peacocks all stock it, but they have one rail each and that's it! New Look have quite a lot online that they don't have in store so I'm going to order a few things (not until next weekend when there is a voucher for 20% off everything online though!). Does anyone know what TopShop's range is like? Some of the stuff looks nice and is OK price-wise but some stuff is much more than I'd pay for maternity stuff. My local shop doesn't stock it but if it's good, I may consider ordering a couple of bits online.

Is anyone else really looking forward to their maternity leave? I'm not starting mine for another three months, but I'm really looking forward to being at home and doing house-wifey things (except I'll probably be so big and tired by then I won't want to do anything except slob on the sofa). I really like my job, I'm not on my feet all day, the people are mainly all nice so I don't know why I'm so keen for the next three months to go so quickly. I don't really want to start ML earlier than planned as I want to have as much time as possible with baby after the birth.

OK, need to stop reading now as DH wants to go to bed and as I'm tired I'm off too. I've got to the end of page 87, so will try and catch up with the rest tomorrow. Don't talk too much :D
  • Oh, nearly forgot to say...

Congratulations to all the newbies and welcome to the thread!!

    xx
