Now that we are past the 12 weeks, I am keen to start buying a few bits and pieces. I think that people on here had recommended the Grobag Egg, but when OH looked it up on Amazon, he pointed out that there are loads of negative reviews saying it is unreliable.

Has everyone here who has one checked that the temperature readings are accurate, and would you still recommend it? It does look cool, but clearly no point if it's not accurate.

Will try to cacth up when I get home but just had to share my bargain!
Just won an Ebay auction for over 100 pieces of baby girl clothes ages newborn and 0-3months for a bargainous £15!!! And no postage as it's actually in the next village over!!! HOORAY! Think that's 99% of her clothes for the next ooooo 3-4 months sorted (well once she gets here!) - so chuffed!

Also bidding on some little baby grows and sleepsuits although they're not THAT good value :rotfl:

Fitzio - we don't have the Egg, but we do have a temp setting on our baby monitor for DS. I have noticed that during the winter when the heating is on, it has to be well away from the radiator. And direct sunlight through the window. It sounds silly, but we honestly just didn't think about those things. We were just focusing on putting it near a power outlet and out of DS's reach.

Hi ladies, managed at last to get the HIPG form from a midwife at the hospital this morning!

Had a scan this morning too, everything is fine n dandy, measurements are good, (although I could see on the screen, EDD 26/4 as opposed to 09/5 hmmmm lol) and we got to see our sons nuts! How cool is that haha!!

Consultant doesn't want to see me now until 40 weeks, but hopefully, baby will be here before that!

Cot bed, matress & cot top changer came yesterday, so that's everything bought and delivered for baby now.

    53 days to go! :)

My sister finally had baby about midday today. Was lifeless when born and whisked off to SCBU. Seems to be doing fine now but my sister is on the ward and hasn't met him yet! She is distraught. He was 7lb 15oz so hopefully will be big enough to get better real soon.

Crikey! I really hope they are both ok. How terrible that she hasn't been able to see him yet...I bet she's heart broken. I really don't like that! It's the most important time for a mother & baby. Fingers crossed all will be ok. xx
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:

I've not been posting very often but I read as much as I can & try & keep up with the thread.

I best just say a big congartulations to all of you who have had your babies...Well done!

I've had to take Ruby for her jabs today. She's late having these due to us moving house. It was the MMR & pneumonia jabs, one in each leg. Poor Ruby did yell but calmed down quickly. I hate taking her...I feel really mean!

She's really grumpy now so DH has taken her out in the buggy. To make matters worse she fell over again & cracked her head on the door frame...Another huge bump & bruise. That's about the 4th time in the last two weeks, she looks like she's been bashed about. My poor little Ruby!

shelvis, sorry to hear about your nephew, hope he gets well soon and your sister gets some good bonding time with him!

I saw the midwife today... Not my own... Obviously! Blood pressure was sky high (143/92) so she said she'd re-check it... Machine errored 3 times on both arms so she decided to do it manually and declared it sickeningly normal (120/70) and said the batteries were probably running out on the machine! Everything else was fine, am measuring about 1.5cm bigger... But I'm sure that is probably belly that was there before the baby... Back in 3 weeks...

Popped into the bank to pay in Aimee's birthday money (and I've set her up a standing order... Now she's 5 she gets £2 a week pocket money lol) and the woman in the queue turned round, looked at me and just said 'you having twins?' rude cow! (I mentioned it to a friend and she said next time I should just say I'm not pregnant and embarass them lol)

Well done on the baby clothes Tine, you'll probably not have to buy anything for a long time with that bundle and the gifts you'll get!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
