  • Hi again

Have a look at the downloads section on the Phoenix site - looks like you can print off your own posters etc but Phoenix will prepare and print off art work for advertising in the press. There is a guidelines/instructions download which will tell you more.

    Hope this helps.
  • I've downloaded a very useful poster for giving people advance notice of a confirmed booking - go into downloads, advertising, it's template 23. They look really professional when they are printed. Even more so if you laminate them!
I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!
  • Just had a look allIcouldwishfor - looks great! I just need to borrow a colour printer - knew I should I have got one when I replaced the old one!

    Thanks

Yes, and then you get the people who want two of a certain card, so even if you have one, you need to order another!

I actually have too much stock, yet I still get caught out by a client ordering a card which I do not have

So I have decided to scale down my stock, since that is the only reason that I am not in profit.

I find that the children's age cards are very popular, so it is worth keeping three of each in stock. Other than that I will keep the bestselling cards in stock.
:) Thank you to all OPs :)

I used that one today. Looked really good. Shame the craft fair was totally rubbish! Less said about it the better really
Trying to earn some extra cash, just in case :undecided
  • I know what you mean skeeter, I often question whether it's worthwhile holding a lot of stock which is effectively profit. But as I'm planning to do lots of sales/fairs coffee and cards in the near future I do need a good level of stock - so think I will stick as I am for now. Please let me know how cutting down on stock works for you.
  • I do feel if you are going to do events that you need to hold a reasonable selection of product for people to impulse buy from. Having said that, unless you are going to make a huge investment I don't think you can realistically expect to fulfill your orders from stock.

Dry white wine, I did my first event yesterday which was rubbish too, but on a positive note it was good experience of setting up my table, it made me realise the things I need/don't need for my next event and has given me more confidence for next time. I got two good leads who will order from me, and gave out another couple of brochures, so not a totally wasted morning.

Sunshine girl, my upline told me that when she first started, she reinvested all her profit buying stock. Only after 6 months did she start to pay herself any profit.

I noticed last night that the coffee morning poster is now enabled as a download, last week I'm sure that was an order only, so they are adding more for us to download all the time.

  • Hi I've just started as a trader and what I found useful as I couldnt afford to buy alot of stock, is to coordinate my orders with my sponser and another lady in the area. Basically it means One of us is putting an order in a week.If I get another order after I have put in my own order. I ask my sponser to add it onto hers and I share the postage with her. This has worked really well for us so far! For my first event she lent me some of her stock on sale or return which ment I didn't waste alot of cash on stock that didn't sale.I really wish that Phoenix would let you know about other traders in your area.As not only would you not tread on anyone toes! but you could also help each other out etc
  • Also I have just checked the downloads, Thank you AllIcouldwishfor! and have just downloaded the coffee morning poster. :)

    Hi Guys,

Nice to see you set up another thread/ discussion group.

We are going to concentrate on our business and have one or two things going on in the back gound, so keep an eye on the newsletter and see you at the Wannabe ET meetings or trader meetings in June/july.
