I was at the Cambridge meeting. Am really pleased with the new website, especially since there is no longer a monthly fee for those of us who already have trader websites.
Thank you to all OPs

Hi All
I am considering joining up with PT, I do know of a trader in my area, so am really worried about the lack of business . . I have also tried another co. with direct selling however my upline was completely awful - its a nightmare and don't want to have the same happen again.
Please could I have some opinions on if you think it will be worth my while - I am very keen and can put aot of time and effort into growing my business and will put in 100% effort.
Anyway . what do you get in your starter packs etc?0 -
Hi there
Its really hard for any of us to say whether going Phoenix will be 'worth your while' but there is a direct link with how much effort/time you put in - If you put the hours in, you will get the rewards.
Have you sent off for an information pack? That tells you everything you get in your business kit, the business kit is really good value at £45 and includes everything you need to get going, including 50 brochures, samples, order forms, stationery etc. It doesn't include any stock, but you don't actually need stock to get going - some people just start by selling from the brochure. The stock is useful if you want to make up baskets to leave in staffrooms etc.
When you join up - you have the option to buy one of 3 stock starter packs at discounted prices. I hope that is helpful to you?
If you want me to send you an information pack all about phoenix, please pm me and I'll pop one in the post for you. likewise if you have any more specific questions, just ask!Emergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0 -
Many thanks for your reply - I think I worded it wrong asking if it will be worth my while (apologies).
I know I will get alot of support etc, but I suppose I just wanted different opinions - although I have read this thread numerous times.
Also, thank you for the offer of a pack, however I have asked my local lady (purely as I like the idea of her being local) and don't want to feel ike I am wasting anyones time.
I will keep you updated on how I go0 -
Does anyone have any sample letters to PTA's, todler's groups etc.
If so please PM me.
I need to target a different angle, did my first brochure drop which wasn't great. F & F aren't that keen to host a party either. I need a different approach.
Many thanks0 -
I am no expert, by any means as I have only recently joined.
I sent alot of emails expaining who I am, what I sell and that I would like to attend their group, to show off the great range - and I have had a great response with 2 definite bookings.
Good luck0 -
I'm getting a zero retun on the brochure drops, I have two more areas to collect this week and if they aren't fruitful I won't be wasting my time and brochures doing that any more. The state of some of the brochures I am getting back is appauling, they have to go straight in the bin.
I made a call to a local ladies group who advertised a pampering evening in my local paper and that sounds promising, I had to send an email with the details and they are getting back to me.
I am in the process of emailing local school PTA's, toddler groups and charity organisations.
From what I've experienced so far my sales have been to people who have seen my folders, the brochure doesn't really do the cards justice.0 -
I started towards the end of last year, had a few coffee and cards at my house but nobody else booked a party. Tried ringing school etc with Christmas Fairs but most of them already had a Phoenix trader booked. I've got a stall at my children's school ladies night as I'm on the PTA!
How much stock should I take? I dont want to over order and invest even more money in addition to the initial outlay but equally need things to sell and tempt people. Any advice gratefully received, Thanks.0 -
Hi Jojotoo,
It's difficult buying in stock if you only need it for one event. Try the best sellers list. Have a small range for different ages, male and female. Go more for children's if it's a school event, with very few flora and scenery. I wouldn't bother too much with events such as weddings, get well, etc as people buying at a fair are more likely to buy general cards.
I had a school event today and the adult ones that were most popular were al79, al76, cc05,and of course children's cards. The Al69 sold wonderfully because I had a sample on show. Having samples out can make the world of difference. I sold a good few wraps, but they are a big investment and you could be left with them. GW81 sold best.
Good luck with it.0
