  • It's a shame, the newsletter isn't in the downloads yet, but I've just checked and the new products are up on the website already, if you want to have a look.

Hi Rosemary, the newsletter is there (in the downloads), but not the brochure. I got mine today, so hopefully ours will come soon!
  • Just got mine in the post so settling down with a cuppa and the lush new brochure, happy days
  • What do you think of the new brochure? The format is quite different from previous brochures.

I like the new age 1-6 cards, I think they will be popular at toddler groups.
:) Thank you to all OPs :)

I like the way they have separated the different sections (cards, giftwrap accessories etc.), but I'd preferred them to have put the separate items from the 'featured collections' into the relevant sections as well as in the feature areas - eg the fairycakes bookmark in with the other bookmarks as well as the fairycakes feature, and likewise with the racing car and pirate goodies. It took me a few looks through to detect that there were new items in there!

Overall, I like it and the new products are good. Quite a few I want to order multiples of!

I like the way the sections are separated as you say....cards, gift wrap etc. But found it odd that the 'age' cards (1,2,3,4,5,6,18,30,etc) are all on different pages.....i thought the old 1-6 fairy cards etc had been discontd firstly as i saw the new ones, and then i found them towards the back of the brochure, and similarly the number 18 card is lingering on its own away from the new 40-70 cards...bizarre marketing.

Some nice new cards though. Must confess to being left with 2 advent calendars this year and a fair few christmas cards......oh well, up in the loft with next years christmas bits!

  • Hi all,

I just read the whole thread from P1 as I sent off my registration last week.

I am a Mum to a 16 week old girl, and have been looking for ways of me not having to go back to work anytime soon, although I dont expect PT to replace my salary but 1 it will give me something to reduce my baby brain! and 2 maybe allow me to cut back on my full time job in time.

I'm planning to start with mainly door drops and friends and family....to get my confidence and then progress to coffee mornings etc...

If you could give me one piece of advice what would it be.....

    Wish me luck...

  • Hi can I join you? I only joined phoenix at the end of December so haven't sold anything yet! I’ve been waiting for my new brochures. Got mine today and was so excited to see the pink envelope! My husband thinks im mad! I love the new age cards but must admit I couldn't find an 18 & 21 but someone just mentioned an 18 card so going to have to look through again to find them, can't understand why they haven't put them all together! I was a bit disappointed with the fairy cakes range in the brochure. Dont think they do it justice and think they are so gorgeous in the flesh. Im just preparing a basket to leave in the Doctors staffroom. Any tips? Was a bit worried about leaving an envelope for payments so ive done a note on the front of my basket and laminated it ive asked them to write an order form out for stock they take and given them a date for when Im coming to collect the new orders and to collect their money for stock taken, was thinking of phoning them the day before and asking to make sure they all have their money ready, what do people think about this? Any tips gratefully received. Thanks. Plus anyone else find their family say oh yes they are lovely but not actually buy any!

Good morning, and a happy new year to everyone.

Have had a look at the new catalogue, and like a few others, think the layout is good, but a bit confusing. Why not have all the age cards together, or at least on a double page spread, still there are some lovely new cards, which I'm sure will sell well.

I'm looking foreward to going to the trader maeeting at Nottingham, my local one, anyone else going to that one?

This is the year that I'm making the committment to launch my business having played around for four years, who knows how far I'll go in one year.

Hope you all have a good year too.

    Snowbell.

    Hi,
I wondered if anyone knew if there was an email address I could scan my forms into to get them to head office quciker?

    Thanks

    Hi mrsdumplin,

I don't think the online applications are up and running yet (we've been told they are coming), and also they will need your signed new trader agreement (it was only during the postal strike you could fax them in and then pay over the phone and then send on the forms.

Why not post them special delivery on Monday morning? That way, they'll be there on Tuesday, and Phoenix are very good usually about getting the business kit out within 24-48 hours.

If you do that, don't forget to keep the postage slip to put the cost in your business expenses. It would also be worth browsing on the self-employed type boards, and planning your admin procedures - it's much easier to keep good records from the start than wait till you have a full bag of assorted receipts :)
