Phoenix traders - what is your most successful selling technique?

What sort of customer records do you keep? I'm wondering if I should set up a spreadsheet or keep paper records of who buys from me so I can give them the new brochures etc. Presumably I just need a total of the amount they spend as the copy I keep of the order form tells me what they bought.
Have my first coffee and cards later this week so trying to get organised, must buy price stickers, baskets for holding cards, cake......!0 -
Hi everyone
Just wanted to prove what so many of you have said about the ups and downs of trading - that you have one bad experience and then one amazing one! Did a card party for sister-in-law last month and sold £11 (yes, £11!!!) of items. Did a party for a friend last week and came home with £350! My friend had a genius idea - she had one party at lunch time and offered soup, rolls and cake and then had another that evening with wine and nibbles. It was brilliant as those who wanted to come without school aged kids did so at lunch time and those who had tiny ones came in the evening when Daddy was home. A really good idea that I'm going to suggest to others - including you guys!
Hope you've not been as frustrated as I have been with so many of the roll wraps discontinued!
I've also used the idea of running a treasure hunt using the pirate gift wrap. My 18 month old son points at the picture before I leave so I know where the treasure is and then guests pay £1 to write their name on a small piece of card which they stick onto the map (in a clip frame) with blue tac. At last weeks party I gave one of the snowy village advent calendars as a prize and came away with £14 profit which was great.
Anyway, all the best to you all for the next few weeks.

Well I have decided to sign u with Phoenix after following this thread and already have a sponser sorted.
Can I ask how do you get paid? Do you take it out of what you get paid from customers? I think I may have asked this before but cant remember now lol.

Hello all,
Long shot I know, but I am looking for 2 rolls of the Gingerbread wrapping paper. Can anyone help?
Thanks0 -
Hello Starfish,
Guess what I've got, two rolls of gingerbread paper and matching tags!!!
I take it that it is RW 52, you want.
I'd be happy to post it to you, let me know if you want it.
Who's a clever Snowbell then?

Hi Snowbell,
RW 52 is gingerbread street - last year's rollwrap.
I expect it's RW 58 - cookies and gingerbread is what is wanted...
Sorry
Rosemary (plenty of RW52 and none of RW58)

Hello ladies,
Haven't been on here for ages, and was surprised to see this thread had slipped back to page three! Guess you must all be busy Phoenixing away
Things are ticking over with me, not putting a great deal of effort in to be honest as lots going on in other areas of my life, but still pleased, especially as I now have two recruits! :j
I have a question that has been bugging me, have sent a message to my upline but wanted to ask you al tool. So, why is it that we have to buy five sheets of gift wrap even if our customer just wants one???It's not as if they come in packs, which would justify it, I suppose. Has anyone asked and got an answer?
Look forward to your wise replies :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi, Lorna
Don't get one - yet - for the short answer.
Have a read of the last page of the September newsletter. Each trader is going to have a free website, which will, I think, have a similar feel to the main products section, but, I hope, have pages which can be individualised.
This will be free to all traders when set up early next year. There will be a small charge to enable your customers to pay by credit or debit card, otherwise payments will be limited to paypal or sending you a cheque, as now.
I think the extra will be worth it.
In order to keep the relationship side of 'network marketing', it will still fall to us to order the products and get them to the customers, but will be good for our distant friends, relatives, etc
I'm waiting impatiently for more info on the rules which are still a bit sketchy.

I was told that in order to supply gift wrap without the risk of damage, it needs to be rolled in fives. A single sheet rolled gets squashed very often, and would cost a bomb if supplied on a tube.
It would also be more expensive if supplied folded in cellos and remove the option customers have of buying rolled or folded.
My ET has most giftwraps so that we can buy a single sheet if we don't want five.
