Don't get one - yet - for the short answer.
Have a read of the last page of the September newsletter. Each trader is going to have a free website, which will, I think, have a similar feel to the main products section, but, I hope, have pages which can be individualised.
This will be free to all traders when set up early next year. There will be a small charge to enable your customers to pay by credit or debit card, otherwise payments will be limited to paypal or sending you a cheque, as now.
I think the extra will be worth it.
In order to keep the relationship side of 'network marketing', it will still fall to us to order the products and get them to the customers, but will be good for our distant friends, relatives, etc
I'm waiting impatiently for more info on the rules which are still a bit sketchy.

Hi all,
Please can someone help my sister and I.
We are thinking of joining Phoenix Trading but we're getting ourselves very confused when reading the info they have sent us (it doesn't take much!).
Basically we want something that has flexible hours with a small start up cost and no targets to meet.
Please can someone explain how Phoenix Trading works and if it is worthwhile pursuing as a form of extra income?
Thank you

Hi all,
How's everyone doing with sales of Christmas cards? I was hoping to have sold a lot more than I have done by now - maybe it's still a bit early??? Did two fairs last weekend and moved a few, sold lots of everyday cards and lots of the advent calendar cards but the Christmas cards definitely seem to be slow.
Anyway got four sales lined up within the next seven days so hopefully the Christmas cards will start moving - just interested to hear how other traders are doing with sales of Christmas stock.

Quick update - three Christmas fairs and a toddler group later, and I'm now worrying that I won't have enough Christmas cards for two fairs I'm doing this Friday and Saturday! In fact I've just put in a large order for more Christmas stock - so hard to know how much i'll need.
Be good to hear how others are doing, if there's anyone around that is - its been very quiet on here!0 -
I'm keeping busy too, sunshine girl, got three events this weekend, including a double booking - ooops, but my teenage daughter is going to do that for me. Just about to start sorting stock into baskets so I'm ready.

Hi I'm after some advice please? I've recently joined PT, and am wondering how you guys keep up to date with your accounts? What is the easiest way to set it out, to make filling in my tax form as easy as possible? Also, what could I take off of my profit eg cost of brochures? You can tell I'm new at all of this!Any advice would be greatly appreciated!0

Hi everyone - I thought I would contribute as I have noticed there has not been much activity on here!
I have been distributing catalogues to the parents at my sons school. I started with my sons class - distributed 34 catalogues - Only got 18 back initially - 2 orders, but one was for £79.50! :j - £100 of orders in total and another 5 brochures made their way back the following week. So I was down to 23 brochures. I then decided to distribute to the nursery class who have 25 kids in the am and 25 in the pm. I pinched 2 brochures out of information packs and so just had enough to do the morning group and got only one order of £9.90
I didnt get enough back to give out 25 to the afternooners (only had 19 I think) so did those - Im collecting tomorrow, fingers crossed!
There seems little point now in ordering more brochures since the new ones are available from 1 Jan so I'm toldEmergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0 -
I seem to be slowly losing my brochures through door to door drops. People look at me confounded and say they don't have them. The elves must be stealing them!
I have two fairs to do before xmas and one gathering in a friend's house. Finger's crossed I sell all my Xmas stock.0 -
Hi, I think everyone has had a hectic time; now I want to recover over the new catalogue and newsletter - but I bet mine doesn't come today.
It's a shame, the newsletter isn't in the downloads yet, but I've just checked and the new products are up on the website already, if you want to have a look.
