Hi,My pack arrived from Julie today(many thanks!!) the samples look fantastic quality - really like them. I have a couple more questions(sorry). If you do door to door with catalogues - would you do it like the Avon and go back later with orders and collect money? Another thing - if I done a event/stall etc - What if you dont have the cards that customers want from catalogue or do you just sell from stock? also how do know how much to pay for having a table? is a percentage of what you sell or do you pay for the table before hand?Sorry for all the questionsAvon sales - C4 £1080

Here's my update on the card party at my friends house last night. I sold about £90 worth, all from stock. I think people were just too busy chatting to look at the brochures. Did turn out to be a fun party though, lots of red wine, and we ended the night playing guitar hero. It seems I have found my talent - on the drums!! Change of career coming up!!0

There are downloads from the Phoenix website that your can access once you are a trader. One of them is good for doordrops and tells customers exactly what to do. I have found that most people will leave a cheque in the bag, if not, I just take payment on delivery.
If you don't have cards in stock to fulfil orders, you order them from Phoenix. I normally place orders twice a month and timed properly, I can normally turn orders round in less than ten days. As long as you tell people how long it will be when they order, they are happy.
Most schools in this area charge £15 for a table at an event, but this will vary and some craft fairs charge a lot more.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -

Hi Mindermum, £90 from stock is really good, and I bet it didn't feel like work!! Did you make sure everyone took a brochure home with them? I have had big orders after events this way.
Is anyone going to the Sandy trader roadshow on 4th July?I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
Do you know I didn't even think of sending them home with brochures. Missed a chance there.
How many brochures do you tend to order? I ordered 100 of this sessions brochure and only have 17 left.
I did get another party, but not until September when she wants a Christmas catalogue party. I suppose it just means a restful summer.0 -
I think I've had 250 brochures since I started in March, I've probably got 80-odd left. Whenever I do an event I have them ready in carrier bags to hand out as people are leaving and I always put a brochure in when I deliver an order too. I tell them to give it to a friend if they say they already have one.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0

Wow, that's a lot of brochures! Are you getting a lot of business back from it?0

I always make my level 1 bv target in the first week of the month if that's what you mean. I have sold enough to cover the costs of the brochures and most of those customers will order from the next brochure too. I wouldn't have got the big postal order I had last week without being as free as I am with my brochures. The orders I get after an event are normally bigger than those I take at the event.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
Hi, just wanted to say that I've had some sucess with leaving baskets in school staffrooms, just picked up from 2 schools and got £80 of sales in total for minimal effort. Also publicity as one of them booked me to go to their PTA pamper night. It's getting near to the end of term, but still worthwhile doing.
Not tried businesses yet...a bit scared to be honest, school staff rooms are a familar and friendly place!0
