  • Thanks allIcouldwishfor. I think you may be right. I'd like it to work. Wibblywobbly14 - how did you do this - did your baskets also have honesty boxes - or did you ask secretaries of schools to hold the baskets and cash for you? I have some other schools and nurseries interested in my doing the same thing - but am nervous of the same thing happening again now.

I only just joined on 1st April, and been amazed at how I've done despite this area of SE London being saturated to say the least with Phoenix Traders. I have to say this and the previous thread (don't remember how I came across them, but pleased I did!).. have been a brilliant help. I read through it all before deciding to become a trader myself. Tomorrow I go to my first trader show @ Chatham.. looking forward to meeting some other traders there.

Hi, I just leave the basket in the staffroom and hope for the best, but what I do is leave an 'Honesty envelope' - one of the pink C4 envelopes with a printed A4 sheet glued to the front with columns for name, no. of cards, no. of wraps, total paid, then a box to tick if you would like to be added to my mailing list. Recently I picked up my basket and someone had put their name down but put a note to say they had not yet paid, so I was able to chase up the cash immediately. I think I have lost a couple of cards, but so far not too bad.

In the basket I also add brochures, Freepost cards, mini-info packs and flyers for coffee and cards.

When I collect, I put the donation in an envelope with a note so that the PTA people can contact me if they want me for any of their events.

If you are worried about theft, you could always just put samples and brochures and order forms, but I aim to go for the impulse purchases!

    Hi,

I wondered if anyone has any advice on doing events and fairs - specifically on the kind of volume of stock you need to run successfully. I know this depends on how busy the event might be but are there any ways of making some kind of calcultated guess withouteither going completely 'over the top' with pre-ordering stock or getting to a show and selling out in 2hrs!!

    Thanks xx

I'm looking at joining phoenix, after seeing how lovely the cards were at a fair I went to yesterday. I've been having a look at the website, but could someone actually tell me what you get for your money at the 3 different price levels please?

You get the business kit in every pack and then varying different products according to which starter pack you order. I have it all on a spreadsheet but it's too big to upload here so pm me if you'd like me to email it to you.

    Hi Again all,

It's good to see the positive upbeat mood here and glad to see everyone getting on so well. I think most of the questions here can be answered by the contact you had/have at phoenix, such as the person who introduced you to PT or ur actual sponsor or upline ET. I know PT dont like us having too much of a detailed in depth chat on Internet cos they are worried about you giving the wrong ideas to potential new recruites.

    Have fun

  • Hello All

So glad to have found this thread - annoying that the other one was closed.

Question - what do you say in the covering letter when you do door-to-door drops?

Please answer quick as I want to do some today!

    Thanks

  • Have a look in the downloads section, there's a letter called why buy, of which there is a door drop version.
