Phoenix traders - what is your most successful selling technique?

Me too! It is my first christmas as well and I'm thinking over the packs. Have had a look on the downloads and can't really afford pack 3! What does anyone suggest? I can see how the packs can make you more money if you sell all of it but I don't know how well its going to go and don't want to be left with loads of christmas stock after wards!0

I'm also looking forward to it. Have to say the Trader events gave me fresh energy to go for it. I got some great tips re the baskets in schools and honesty boxes. The main advice really seemed to be - make it personal - ie put up a little poster/picture of who I am, why I do it etc.. With my daughter's school, a picture of her with me. Making it personal means people are less likely to try and rip you off. Also to arrange a time to go in when the staff room is at its most busy - a chance to meet the staff and discuss the product - again making it more personal. Am feeling much more upbeat about it. For one of the schools I arranged to send brochures home with all the pupils, along with a covering letter to say who I am, and that 10% of proceeds are to go to the school pta. I'm now getting orders through the post pretty much every day! Long may it last. I was so very nervous at first - giving up 74 brochures is pretty costly!! May have another go in September when schools open again. Re Christmas - am really looking forward to it. The product that I saw at the Chatham event is LOVELY, and particularly love the advent calendars! HOWEVER, not sure how much of the rollwrap to order given that they are limiting the production of this so heavily. I'm going to go for Gift pack 3 I think. I feel pretty confident I'll shift it. Famous last words!!0

I don't know if I should have a new thread for this. I was wondering about the artists of Pheonix Traders. Anyone here an artist with them? I love doing creative things (allsorts) and wouldn't mind being paid (hopefully).
Back to selling, how much profit do you make? I read you buy the products 1st but what percentage do you make then?0 -
There's advice for artists wishing to join the Phoenix team here.
The reward programme works on retail profit of 30%, plus retail bonus dependent upon the cumulative orders you place in that month based on the set criteria but can earn you between 5% - 15% of the wholesale value of your orders for that month.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
Can't wait to get stuck into the Christmas stuff! Got to shift some of my stock though if I want to justify getting one of the packs. Going to do a basket to leave in a doctors staff room and am asking more about parties.
Anyway, urgent help needed!!! Does anyone have a JY35 rugby they'd be willing to send me? Pretty please? Send me a PM if you could help!
Thanks guys xTrying to earn some extra cash, just in case :undecided0 -

Hi all
Just thought I'd pop on as we've slipped down the pages a bit. I'm having a final push to get rid of my summer brochures and most of my stock. Sent 13 brochures out yesterday, just watch the envelopes don't get heavier than 250g otherwise you'll be stung for the next level up of postage.
Also took the plunge with a basket - its taken nearly £70 in 3 days!! Someone I know has taken it and is very pro Phoenix and she's also making sure the money gets paid. Its mostly cards thats been sold, but some shopping list pads and 1 wrapping paper!
And seeing as the original poll 'winner' is parties, I've got 2 booked so hoping for good things there too.
And before we know it it will be Christmas - phew!
All the best everyone!Trying to earn some extra cash, just in case :undecided0 -
Hi everyone,
Just wondered if we should have received the new catalogue with the July newsletter? Was expecting it to have a look at all the new stuff before I decide with pack to buy.. Anyone else going to have a Butterfly Teaparty? Going to try a piece in our local press, we've a childrens hospice nearby so anyone who hosts one I'm going to donate 10% sales direct to the hospice too. Fingers crossed it generates lots of interest for a great cause!0 -
Forgot to say, lost my log-in details hence newbie status!0
