The DFW Diary of a Mogchops!!

Mogchops tried for a LSD.......
Mogchops achieved (I think - depending on definition of a LSD!!)
Bought potatoes, a cheap pizza for DH, and scavenged through the reduced shelves in Mr T & got cheap mince, tomatoes, satsumas, apples, and 2 bags of ready chopped veg for veggie soup - all for about £7. :T Veggies are currently simmering nicely - will freeze lots in separate tubs, then have instant lunches for work!! :j
All going well overall, DH still being fab with beer consumption, he's been having just 2 cans of stella each night this week, while he's on lates. I have to be careful not to nagbut he is doing really well!!
Veggies still doing well in the veggie patch, Operation Eggshell is in full swing, and seems to be working! Lots of little tomato plants doing very well in the greenhouse thing too.
Need to have words with flippin cat though - nice big dead rat on the living room carpet yesterday  she is a monster! But they are country rats, as opposed to sewer rats....so that makes me feel better - I think
DD2 (aged 6) had first swimming lesson this afternoon - she loved it!! :T Was great to watch her! Fingers crossed she will be out of armbands by the summer!!0 -
I see your cat prefers Organic rat to Battery rat then?** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010

Never thought of it like that!!
I call them country rats because they live in the hedges and bushes over behind this row of gardens. So they live down holes, as opposed to down drains!
Organic food for the cat......she'll be wanting that Sheba stuff next - or whatever that posh cat food is called!0 -
Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww rats....and dead ones at that
I'd run a mile!!!:oI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Ohhhhh so close to a NSD!!!
Popped into Asda to get my free jam from the Sun (dont count buying the paper as make a profit from the MOCs in it :rotfl:) and bought some reduced bread for the freezer - so spent 43p!!!! :rotfl: Best LSD so far though!!
Tyres. Grrrrr. Car needs two new front tyres, DH has left it as long as possible - but they've got to the point where they need doing - now!
Thanks to all my lovelys on the "what dfw thing have you done today" thread, for some helpful suggestions and ideas :A people here are so kind, they really go out of their way to help! Thank you!
Have rung around for prices, DH has finally got the best deal from a mobile fitter, £64.29 per tyre, the same tyres are £80 odd in kwikfit and about £75 everywhere else, so yes its still £130 odd quid, but I feel we've done the best we can to get it as low as possible.
Am hopeful that can manage it without using the dreaded CC. Was so pleased last month didnt use it at all, will be gutted if have to now!! Some real budget-tightening this month now!! :rotfl:
Just doing meal plan and shopping list for next week - beans on toast x 7 I think!!:rotfl:0 -

5 kids??!! thats a scary thought, need a lie down now!! :rotfl:
Meant to say earlier - DH has passed the "use up the leftovers in the fridge" module!!! For his lunch today, he finished up our beef casserole from last night. Then for his sandwiches to take to work, he cooked some bacon that needed using, and made BLT sarnies with the bacon, some sad lettuce and two squashy tomatoes!!:T:j By george, he's got it!!
