was there really any point in posting that? I too am a bit peeved that its gone from "first 2000" to "..a draw" but it didnt cost me anything to apply, so if I dont get a free one I get one free month, Im sure that makes me up on the deal in some way. Im sure MSE are going to look into this. It does annoy me when people rant and rave at anyone without knowing the whole story. Im sure TasteLondon led MSE up the garden path, does someone who is on TV, radio etc then go ahead and mislead his millions of visitors just to annoy them? I wouldnt have thought so. Would you?Well Im not entering again this is stupid! It's a complete waste of time!0 -
Now it is:
We are sorry, but due to huge demand we had problems with our servers. We appreciate that this must be highly frustrating for you.
The 2,000 annual memberships have now gone, but please do complete the form for a guaranteed one free month membership. This offer will stay open for one week”
Accidentally submitted for this too. It says the 2000 have 'gone' therefore it must have been 1st come 1st serve! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
OK I just signed up for my step dad and got the following message:
"Thank you for your application, your free one month trial membership will be dispatched within the next 7 days "
Maybe that means the 2000 limit has been reached?!0 -

I got the free month trial one come up
but had no warning thats what it was
perhaps the 2000 have gone, and some of us got them?

listen to yourselves! It's like a bloody playground for the spoilt.... "I was trying from 1:50" Well there you go then, it said from 14:00
OK well I'm sorry if you are think you are spoilt but for me this is like going out expecting to get pizza and being served a burger! I wouldn't have wasted 15 minutes trying to enter if it was a draw as I don't see the point in entering it! I am not going to waste another 15 minutes of my life entering again just because someone posts saying that they haven't actually gone through! That is what people are moaning about! I didn't try until 2pm and it took me 15 minutes from then so personally I will continue to moan because I'm not happy!Never give up the dream! :beer:0 -
I was entered into a draw too -the first come first served business has gone out of the window. Surely this is illegal???
.....now how do I get to remove my e-mail address from their database? After all, they CONNED the address out of me by pretending the draw was not a draw0 -
Everyone relax - its first come first served i double checked with them - the 'draw' is just the terminology used to see if you are in the first 2000 or not!!

I just entered again with my work details and got this message:
To celebrate tastelondon's third birthday, we are giving away
tastelondon launched 3 years ago and is now the capital's largest diners club with over 800 restaurants offering 50,000 members 50% off the total food bill. Unlike other dining schemes, tastelondon members can order from the full a la carte menu, meaning they do not have to compromise on their dining experience, but still save a fortune each time they dine out.
the offer is open...
Thank you for your application, your free one month trial membership will be dispatched within the next 7 days
this must mean all of us who got the entered the draw message got the memberships and therefore it was the first 2000!! Heres hoping

Not Martin's fault!
He shouldn't be so gullible though, when commercial operations supposedly give him the heads up to pass on to his millions of subscribers!
It was MSE Martin who wrote to us:
The first 2,000 applicants will get the memberships
Talk about gifting (?) them a genuine list of contacts for people interested in discount dining!0
