awful time at Kew Bridge a year ago, mainly due to guy in opposite room swearing, making aggressive noises & threating to hurt/shoot his (partner) all night. No staff available on reception to alert, unsure whether to call police (didn't but our family lay awake all night).

Our room had a damaged wall between bathroom and bedroom so assume these type of people stay there quite often......

I've stayed there loads of times and have had no problems. I've always had a lovely room and touch wood, it's always been quiet. I have had problems with noisy and aggressive people at Heathrow Central and the service at that one near Hanger Lane was dire! Truly dire. I got really irate with the man on reception and several other people did too. The noise levels in the room were terrible from the traffic. I thought Travelodges were usually higher spec for noise insulation as a friend is an acoustic engineer and he said they were.

I have stayed in around 10 Travelodges of various standards and I have to say Edinburgh Learmonth is my personal favourite by far. It was easy enough to get a £9 room - the room was massive, in a really nice quiet residential area of the City, a picturesque 1 mile walk to Princess Street!

Stayed in the well located Edinburgh Central Waterloo Place. It was a massive family room with secondary glazing and a few steps leading from the bathroom to the bedroom.

I would definitely stay there again as it is modern and central but not too noisy.

Newcastle Central is also well located, with very helpful staff but there is not much they can do about the type of guests they have. Mostly partying youngsters, so don't expect much peace.

The rooms and corridors were clean but showed signs of wear and tear from the party set.

I would only stay there again if I went with a large group of fun loving people

Sheffield Meadowhall is great, although it's not the usual Travelodge layout.

Perfect for retail therapy, great transport links and the best shower I've encoutered at Travelodge so far :)
  • Its about time T/L upped the rate for pets as i do not have pets and do not want a room where they have been in
T/L should only have certain rooms for pet people and not for normal humans
Most pet people allow there dogs all sorts of comforts in the rooms
    which is not on
I think mimium charge should be £50 per dog
and ltd rooms available for them--full stop

We stayed at Birmingham Airport Travelodge last week and i'd definetly reccomend it for use of the airport - also good for plane spotters!

Not good for staff service or food though - esp food.

Theres a bus stop right outside which goes to the airport (though our bus actually broke down and we almost missed the plane!)

Considering its right next to the airport... we didn't really hear to much noise... and we were the airport side of the hotel.

The hotel is pretty much brand new so the rooms were lovely.. i'm not sure anyone had actually stayed in the room that we had.. i saw some builders dust ;)

Travelodge hotels are now offering free Wi-Fi :T

So our stay at Brighton Seafront was made even better.

    Friendly, helpful staff.

AC in our large, clean and modern room. (It appears we were lucky though, judging from various other reviews.)

Ideally situated if you are on foot. The sea is two mins in one direction and the train station is ten mins straight up the road in the other direction.

The shopping centre is nearby, the Odeon is next door and although numerous clubs and pubs surround the hotel, you hardly hear any noise

stayed there twice in family rooms ,once on a high floor with a rear view of a car park,a real maze of rooms to get to ours and the second time with a low floor with a sea view (which we really liked )both times the rooms were clean and everything ok .
some people pay cheap prices and expect luxury 5 star i got value for money both times for my £29.
