His sons girlfriend moved in with them a few months ago. She is 19 and has just got her first job so needs an account to pay her wages into.
Problem is, she only has her birth certificate and a NI card.
No passport, no driving licence, no utility bills.
There are two options:
1. She could apply without a photo ID, by using the following: DWP benefits letter, HM Revenue Documents stating tax notification or other correspondence. These are typical documents to use without photo ID. I would look at the banks website to see what ID is required when a photo ID is not present.
2. Ask her to apply for a passport or drivers licence. Won't take long to be processed and delivery. Ask her to put her wages into her account for the time being.0 -
Thanks for that. She has applied for a provisional licence today.0

Ok.
What is her proof of address going to be then, since her provision driving licence is her ID. She needs another one for proof of address.
Alternatively, ask her to apply for a Barclays Cash Card Account. Don't be mislead by the name - it offers a debit card now. They only need one form of ID. Therefore, the driving licence is ok, as it shows name and address.0 -

No. Wrong. As has already been explained a half dozen times in this thread, a provisional driving license is fine to open an account, provided it has at least a full name and date of birth.
This ID policy, ONEDOC, applies to all KYC records held by UKRB.What would William Shatner do?0 -
