Barclays Golden ISA feedback

I am looking into this Golden Isa and I went to the Barclay's website; whilst there I came across another ISA paying only .10%. Is this last years ISA that was the high interest ISA at the time?
Barclays have made a pleadge to all their savings customers since the drop in BOEBR to 0.5%.

I work as a manger at the bank and I have been advising customers and clients that the interest rates on this ISA are unlikely to drop below the 3.61% AER within the next 12 months. Obviously after 12 months the rate will fall to 2.61% when the 1% bonus expires. So customers are well aware of this before they subscribe to the ISA.0 -
Well they wont be getting my cash :-)
Off to Natwest I went !!!
But didnt they give you a sales pitch as well?
Think all the big banks are the same really and you cant blame them for trying to sell us their products as that's their job. I think its our responsibility to know what products we want and not get bullied into taking one we dont want.
Alternatively if you are an existing customer you could do what I did and use online banking thus avoiding any sales pitch! :jCurrent Debt Owed To Family: [STRIKE]£12,575[/STRIKE] £9,000 :wall:Estimated Debt Free... [STRIKE]Dec 2012[/STRIKE] Aug 2012

had it today
"im not making an appointment"
well i explained i have some existing loyal customers who have booked appts a few weeks ago e.t.c
then got spat at which wasnt nice.
roll on next week
OMG! Now I'm not a fan of banks but at the end of the day I respect that people are just doing their jobs and most time trying to help customers. I CANNOT understand why people feel they have to be rude and arrogant at people just trying to do their job. It really winds me up that we live in a society where some people expect to get what they want, when they want and will abuse anyone who gets in their way.... Hi, I have a Barclay's Tax Beater Cash ISA and Tax Haven ISA from previous year but these ISA are low interest rate now. Can i move both ISA to other provider who give more interest rate and allow transfer in and at the same time can i open this year ISA which is Barclay's Golden ISA?
Because Barclays's Golden ISA is allow to save only 3600, which i can transfer from my e-saving.
I am worrying my previous year ISA, which are getting low interest rate now. May I get your suggestion?0 -

Halifax Direct ISA Reward pays 3% fixed for a year, allows 4 withdrawals and accepts transfers in. Min balance £1000. Just tell them in the branch you only want to transfer the money and they'll sort that out for you.0 -

They are very good at Halifax too as I used them about 4 years ago to transfer an existing ISA over to them!Current Debt Owed To Family: [STRIKE]£12,575[/STRIKE] £9,000 :wall:Estimated Debt Free... [STRIKE]Dec 2012[/STRIKE] Aug 2012

I'd move them, I think Barclays has adopted a greedy and boring tactic of new cash only. They seem not to care about past ISA investors judging by there rates on Tax Beater, Tax Haven, Cash ISA. I had or may still have for a couple of days a cash isa with them with a good balance and i rang there savings team 0845 603 0845 to ask if they could offer me a rate, and the advisor said no, were interested in new business. So ive took it elsewere0 -
I've opened a Golden ISA last week with an initial £10 deposit. I now have the rest fo fill this years ISA allowance. I phoned to make a payment but they wouldn't take it from my debit card. I queried about transfering from my Halfiax bank account and they said I would be charged for that? Does that make sense?
Can I just transfer into it using the ISA's sort code and acc number?0 -
Phoned Barclays, 9am appointment made for 2 days later for myself & my wife, both out of the branch by 9.20am, all signed sealed & delivered.
I don't call that "hassle".
I call it "service".0
