    Hi Pam,

just read your thread. Just saying hi! I know what you mean about getting impatient. I don't know what to do to tackle my debt total inbetween my paydays and sometimes they feel so far away lol!!!

    Good luck,

    Love Miss Shoes xx

    Hi Pam
I think you should congratulate yourself on using half the freelance money towards your debt (before your LBM would you have spent all of it)

I like the idea of spend half and save half. it's what I tell my Daughters' to do BUT do I do it! Think that will be my new mantra! "Half 'n' Half".
  • Hi guys,

I've been really buoyed by all your support and lack of shouting over my spending!!:p

I've decided to try and do a bit more freelancing and to do the "half'n'half" thing, if I can get the work. That way, I can get the debt paid off a little quicker and still feel like I'm not working my bum off for no reason.

It's not been so bad this weekend. About £10 over budget for the month, which is obviously not good, but I'm going to try and make that up over the next couple of days.

Payday on Tuesday, so let's see what happens there! Hopefully my debt total will be reduced even more!! :j
Goals for 2010 - pay off £3160 debt. Come on Pamela!
  • Oh, and MissShoes, thanks for reading.

I just sometimes feel so deflated because I spent the money I owe so quickly, but it's taking about 10 times longer to pay it back!!!

We all find the process of repayment difficult - hopefully this will be the last time we go thro this and we will have learned our lesson!

Have a great debt busting week!

    Hurrah it's payday!! :j

I've managed to make my credit card payments, pay all my bills and, wait for it, totally pay off my Zopa!! :T

I'd been working at it for a wee while, but it's finally gone now. At the start of the year it was £800 and I was spending £50 a month on it. Now I've thrown all my available resources to it and it's gone.

It's only a small amount of money but it's a huge pyschological weight off my shoulders (mixed metaphors then, sorry). Lots still to do, but feeling very positive :A

Congratulations on paying off your loan!

Hi Pam! That's great news! :j Think how much it'd be if you were still spending on it

You've done so well, keep up the good work! :T
