    Hi DFriends,
Thank you all for the kind wishes, Just got home from DD2 and SiL2b. DD is feeding DGD and doing well. There was no washing for me to bring home but I have a small pile of ironing to do for them, Dropped off their dinner, saves SiL2b cooking and have taken Thia Chicken curry and Bajis out of the freezer for our dinner, just need to do some rice. Taken some apples out to make a cake tomorrow.
I enjoy cooking for them and don't mind having to go round to deliver the meals, :D coz I get to see the baby.

My Mum phoned to say that she and OH will be down for the week-end staying here, so she can see the baby, nicknamed "Dibbles" :A
Must try and organise all meals for the w/end.

REDRUBY, They are still deceiding on names but I hope DD2 wins with Charlote, (Lottie)

WEEZL Congratulations, FERGUS is a beautiful boy you must be so proud.
Have a good evening all, hope to catch up soon.

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY FAIRYELEPHANT

And to you Beth on your new DGD - I can't believe how well your DD did, you must all have superwoman genes!
SunnyGirl - so glad to hear your dear Dad is making progress still - having read your post I think you've got some of those Superwoman genes too.
Hello Purple Ivy and Karen my singing, sewing buddies - I think we probably find ourselves in good company on this board!

I've managed to finish "squidney" for OH, I just need to add his googly eyes now. I'm off to hoover up all the loose threads(and possibly the cat) and get on with dinner.

Taplady - just saw your post - Congrats!

  • Thanks Bargainbird. Meeting went grand as I am already a customer so it was just a case of OH giving them like a hundred bits of I.D.
Hopefully that will be all set up by tomorow so we can shift savings into it. We also got approved for a cashback credit card. I don't like having one myself and I keep mine just for emergencies (has a zero balance:A ) but have taken out this one on Martin's advice for when we are purchasing things like new sofa, fridge freezer etc over £100 you get extra protection plus cashback:money: Not to mention purchasing through Quidco etc.

we are getting quite a few offers of furniture etc from family which is great. We are not turning anything free down!

Congrats Taplady on your mighty win!

Been informed by OH that tea will be Eggy bread & beans n' sausages!YUMMY!

My, or should I say DS2 & DS3's b****y gerbils but guess who ends up cleaning them, have been on shredded paper for 18 months & they're still going strong :p I don't use newspaper but only because they're a pale sandy colour & I refuse to add washing gerbils to my list of stuff to do :rotfl: Don't be too impressed by my whirlwind this morning I was up at 6am as I'm always paranoid that DH will be knocking on the door after a nights work & I've not opened it :D I like to have both sets of keys with me so I've got one for each door - a foible from God knows where I know:D

I hope that everyone has a good evening I'm going to have a long hot bath soon then settle down with a book whilst DH watches the football before going to work.

Hello All, sounds like some of you have had a nice day. I had a bit of a boring day, just working. Trying to think of ways to save or make money tonight as still no news on the job front for the OH, have enough till the end of the month then stuck. Has anyone got any ideas? Going to eat left over veggie lasagne for tea yummy!!

Hi all,& congrats to Weezl,Beth&DD,lovely news.

I borrowed a carpet cleaner off my ex SIL to get some marks off our bedroom carpet yesterday, and was so impressed I've been doing lots more. The trouble is its very heavy and my back is suffering and my right shoulder/arm.Never mind it'll ease off.I cant believe how clean the rug has come up-its the dogs fave place- in front of the fire and was a disgrace really. We were ready for chucking it,glad we didnt now.All its cost us is a bottle of the cleaning fluid.

My Dniece came to visit this afternoon, not seen her for a few weeks so we had a good chat and catch up,and gave me the chance of a break from the carpet cleaning

Been looking at the flyladies as I want to be a bit more organised rather than randomly doing jobs and have got to admit the house is looking pretty good at the mo,just need to empty the dishwasher and put the pots in from tea,we had spiced lamb pilaf.

    Hope everyone is ok.xxx

Fairy Elephant - Hugs & Congratulations

Bethebee - Congratulations! And how brave your daughter is!

Next door have just told me that the delivery of their new grandson yesterday did not go according to plan. It was supposed to be a hospital birth, but it all happened so quick so the lady next door delivered her own grandson on the bathroom floor!

No OS today. First little bear went to speech therapy, where they said that if we have any further concerns we can get back in touch but he is obviously managing fine. We are being encouraged to use the Makaton sign language little bear has taught himself watching Ceebeebies. Apparently he is very advanced with some things like co-ordination and he recognises colours very clearly.

Then little bear bumped his head in movement class. I have learned a very robust attitude to bumps, obviously, but this time I think he actually knocked himself cold for a second. His eyes rolled back and he went limp and twitched a little. Then he didn't know where he was for about five minutes, and after that he needed heavy duty mum cuddles. By the time dear heart arrived to take us to A&E he was almost back to normal. By the time a doctor saw him in A&E he had been playing quietly for two and a half hours getting more and more tired. I can let him sleep tonight, but I have to check on him every few hours to make sure it is asleep and not unconscious.

Well, I put the put up bed in the bedroom, intending to sleep in there. However, despite having had a very tiring day and no nap he is still up there playing - fascinated by the put up bed. I am shattered down here praying that he gets some sleep soon!

    Hugs to all.
